NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO STOP PIECES OF ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of a proposal to stop pieces of road in the County of Bay of Islands, public notice is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to stop the pieces of road described in the Schedule hereto, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated in Albert Street, Kawakawa, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours from 14 November 1966 until 24 December 1966.

All persons objecting to the above proposal must lodge their objections, in writing, at the office of the Council on or before 24 December 1966.

OTOROHANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1966, £50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby makes a special rate of seven-fortieths pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Otorohanga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Otorohanga County Council held on the 28th day of October 1966.

OTOROHANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers Dwellings Loan 1966, £12,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,000 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing or purchasing workers’ dwellings within or outside the County of Otorohanga, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby makes a special rate of three sixty-fourths pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Otorohanga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Bridges Supplementary Loan 1966, £4,750

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,750 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for completing the purpose for which the Bridges Loan 1963 of £47,500 was authorised, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0234 pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Otorohanga, excluding the Kawhia North Riding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
