district.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
Mangawhai Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Rodney
County, containing approximately 6,464 acres and bounded
generally as follows:
Commencing at the westernmost corner of Allotment 107,
Mangawhai Parish, on the right bank of the Mangawhai
Estuary, in Block III, Mangawhai Survey District, and
proceeding northerly along that right bank to, and southerly
along, the sea coast to a point in line with the north-
western boundary of Section 39, Block VI, Pakiri Survey
District; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary,
to and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 25,
37, and part 26, all of the said Block VI, to the north-
eastern side of Edwards Road; thence north-westerly generally
along the north-eastern sides of Edwards Road and Pakiri
Block Road; to and along the north-eastern side of the
public road forming the south-western boundary of Section
31 of that Block VI, to and along the south-eastern and
north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 2, Arai Parish, and
along the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public
road to the south-eastern boundary of Allotment S.E. 42
of the said Parish; thence along that boundary to and
along the north-eastern and northern boundaries of the
said Allotment S.E. 42, to and along the north-eastern
and northern boundaries of Allotment N.W. 42 and that
northern boundary produced across Dyers Swamp Road
to its western side; thence still north-westerly generally
along that western side, to and along the north-eastern
boundary of Allotment S. 41, to and along the eastern
shores of Spectacle Lake to the southernmost corner of
Allotment S. 35, along a right line to the easternmost
corner of Allotment N.W. 37 on the western shores of
that lake, along another right line to the southernmost
point on the shores of an unnamed lake forming part of
the northern boundary of Allotment N. 35, the aforesaid
allotments all being of Arai Parish aforementioned, and
along another right line to the intersection of the north-
western shores of the last-mentioned lake and the generally
southern side of the formed road shown as Lot 1, D.P.
52315; thence on a bearing of 324° 54′ to the north-western
boundary of the said Lot 1, along that boundary to and
along the generally south-western sides of the several areas
shown on S.O. Plan 44304 as land to be taken for road,
through Allotments 30, W. 22, and 23 Mangawhai Parish,
crossing an intervening public road, to Arai Point Road,
and along the south-western side of that road to the north-
eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 11345; thence along a right
line across the said road to and along the generally eastern
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 11345, to the angle in that boundary
distant 1703·6 links from the northern side of the last-
mentioned road, and along a right line to the north-eastern
corner of Section 15, Block IV, Mangawhai Survey District;
thence along the north-eastern boundary of that section,
to and along the generally eastern and northern sides of
Black Swamp Road, to and along the western boundary
of Section 28 of Block IV aforesaid, and the last-mentioned
boundary produced across a public road to its northern
side; thence along the south-western and north-western
boundaries of Section 2 of the said Block IV, to and
along the south-western boundary of Allotment 107,
Mangawhai Parish, to the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on plan
No. 13/2 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand
Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

April 1959, and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of
April 1959, at page 520, authorising Percy Evan Kelland, of
Omarama, sheep farmer, to use water for the purpose of
generating electricity.
