Extending Time for Holding General Election of Members
of the Waimate Rabbit Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 26th day of
October 1966
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS a triennial election of the members of the Waimate
Rabbit Board was required to be held on the 9th day of
October 1965, pursuant to section 4 (1) of the Local Elections
and Polls Act 1953, but no such election was held on that
date, or has been held since that date; and whereas it is
expedient that the time for the holding of that general
election be extended:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 100 of the Local Elec-
tions and Polls Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby extends until the 17th day of
December 1966 the date for holding the general election of
the members of the Board that was required to be held on
the 9th day of October 1965.

Boundaries of County of Oroua and Borough of Feilding
Altered

At the Government House at Wellington this 26th day of

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.

ORDER

  1. On and from 1 April 1967 the area described in the
    Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Oroua
    and included in the Borough of Feilding.

  2. The said alteration of boundaries shall be deemed to have
    been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, County of
Oroua, containing 33·8 perches, more or less, being Lot 2,
D.P. 17188, part Section 132, Town of Sandon, situated in
Block XIV, Oroua Survey District.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of
October 1966
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting
place to be held for the common use and benefit of the
members of the Ngati Hou subtribe of the Ngarauru tribe.

The Mangawhai Rural Fire District Order 1966

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of
October 1966
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Mangawhai Rural Fire
    District Order 1966.

  2. This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.

  3. The area specified in the Schedule to this order is hereby
    constituted and declared to be a rural fire district, to be
    known as the Mangawhai Rural Fire District.

  4. The trees and other plants on State forest land situated
    in the said area are hereby specified as the property for the
    protection of which this district is constituted.

  5. The Mangawhai Rural Fire District shall, for the
    purposes of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, be
    administered by the Minister of Forests.
