All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, at his office aforesaid; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

The land affected is situated at 44 Carlyle Street, and on the corner of Carlyle Street and Millar Street.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

TAKE notice that the Waipukurau County Council, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, hereby gives notice of its proposal to take for road the land referred to in the Schedule hereto; such land being McKenzie’s Road, at Rotohiwi. The plan of the land to be taken for road by the Council may be inspected at the offices of the Waipukurau County Council, in Northumberland Street, Waipukurau. All persons wishing to object to the proposal must set forth, in writing, any objection they may wish to make to the taking of the land or the closing of the road, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and send such written objection to the Waipukurau County Council, Northumberland Street, Waipukurau, on or before the 30th day of November 1966.

MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THE Mount Herbert County Council resolved that it, for the purpose of providing the County’s contribution to the cost of reconstruction of the next section of the Teddington-Purau road within the County, raise a loan of, £2,300 from the National Provident Fund, for a term of 20 years, at 5½ percent repayable by half-yearly instalments of £95·10s. 5d., such loan to be secured by a special rate of 0·0274895d. in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property within the Mount Herbert County.

THE Mount Herbert County Council resolved that it, for the purpose of providing the County’s contribution to the cost of renewal of Eastern Valley No. 1 Bridge and Dawson’s Bridge at Port Levy within the County, raise a loan of £3,600 from the National Provident Fund, for a term of 20 years, at 5½ percent, repayable by half-yearly instalments of £149 10s. 3d., such loan to be secured by a special rate of 0·0432712d. in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property within the Mount Herbert County.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 2, 1966

“WHEREAS the sum of £2,130, borrowed by the Waitemata County Council under the Water Supply Development Loan No. 2, 1960, £200,000, is due and payable on the 19th day of December 1966; and whereas the amount repaid in respect of the said loan amounts to only £230 and the sum of £1,900 is required to pay for the said loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, hereby resolves:

(a) To borrow the sum of £1,900 for the purpose of repaying the said loan;

(b) That the sum of £1,900 shall be payable on the 19th day of December 1991 or such earlier date as may be determined by Council; and

(c) That, for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 2, 1966, £1,900, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0012d. in the £ on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of June each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Waitemata County Council on 29 September 1966.

PAPAKURA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papakura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £40,000, authorised to be raised by the Papakura Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of constructing sewer reticulation, the said Papakura Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point one five pence in the pound (·15d. in the £) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Papakura Borough, comprising the whole of the Borough of Papakura; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
