DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supplementary Loan 1966

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,500, authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purposes for which the Water Loan 1962, of £125,000, was raised, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0118d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 26 September 1966.

DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage Loan 1966

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £250,000, authorised to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving and extending foul and stormwater drainage systems, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·218d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Board’s district, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of Saint Kilda; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board on Monday, 26 September 1966.

TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Refuse Disposal Loan 1966, £30,000

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Refuse Disposal Loan 1966, £30,000, authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special loan under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing machinery and carrying out work at the refuse disposal site, the Takapuna City Council makes a special rate of decimal nought four nine pence in the pound (·049d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Takapuna); and that such special rate shall be payable yearly, on the 1st day of August, in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Takapuna City Council held on the 4th day of October 1966.

AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

General Extension and Improvement Loan 1966 of £1,500,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Auckland Electric-power Board Act 1921–22, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Auckland Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500,000, known as the General Extension and Improvement Loan 1966 of £1,500,000, for the purpose of further reticulation of the Board’s area

and extending, strengthening, and reorganising the supply within that area, the Auckland Electric-power Board doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one-tenth (¹⁄₁₀) of a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value, of all rateable property in the Auckland electric-power district, comprising the cities of Auckland, Manukau, and Papatoetoe, together with the boroughs of Ellerslie, Howick, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Newmarket, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, and Papakura, and the road district of Waiheke; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed by the Auckland Electric-power Board at its meeting held on 8 August 1966.

TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Generation Loan 1966, £25,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Tauranga Electric Power Board, held on 28 September 1966, the following resolution was passed:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Generation Loan 1966, £25,000, authorised to be raised by special order under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of purchasing land in connection with the building of two hydro-electric generation stations on the Wairoa River, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-seventh (¹⁄₂₇) of a penny in the pound (£1) on all rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on 28 September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage Improvements Loan 1966 of £80,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the amendments thereof, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal repayments on a special loan to be known as the Drainage Improvements Loan 1966 of £80,000 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·184 of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd day of February 1966, No. 5, at page 125; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years from the date of the raising of the said loan, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Stormwater Drainage Loan 1966, £38,000 ($76,000)

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-eight thousand pounds (£38,000) ($76,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-named Act for the purpose of improving stormwater drainage, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and ninety thousandths of a penny (·190d.) in the pound (£) (·095 cents in the dollar) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) on all the rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
