SITUATED within Hutt County:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the north-western side of the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) and the eastern boundary of Upper Hutt City; thence southerly generally along the eastern boundary of Upper Hutt City, across the said highway, to the northern boundary of the Wellington-Napier railway; thence north-easterly generally along the northern boundary of the said railway to the western boundary of part Section 223, Akatarawa Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the western boundary of part Section 223 and part Section 222, Akatarawa Survey District, and along the south-western boundary of the Te Marua School, to the south-eastern side of the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne); thence north-easterly generally along that roadside to a point 24 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Akatarawa Road; thence westerly generally across the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) at right-angles to its eastern side, to its western side; thence southerly generally along that roadside, across Akatarawa Road, Clouston Park Road, and Kashmir Avenue, to the commencing point. The whole area being further indicated in green on the plan marked T.T. 4007 and deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department, Wellington.

Akatarawa Road (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Harcourt Park).

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the western side of Akatarawa Road and the north-western boundary of Harcourt Park; thence proceeding due west, along a right line, to the left bank of the Hutt River; thence north-easterly along the left bank of the Hutt River to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 29, D.P. 12486; thence north-westerly across the Hutt River to and along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 29, D.P. 12486, to its south-western corner; thence north-easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 12, D.P. 8723; thence along a right line, across the Akatarawa River, to a point on the western side of Akatarawa Road in line with the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 10 to 17 and 19 to 45, D.P. 23489; thence south-easterly, across Akatarawa Road, to, and along, the north-eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned lots and their production for a distance of 39 chains from Akatarawa Road; thence south-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the western side of Akatarawa Road and the north-western boundary of Harcourt Park, the point of commencement; the boundary of the whole area being further indicated in green on the plan marked T.T. 4007 and deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department, Wellington.

Limited Speed Zone Revoked and Closely Populated Locality Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. The Warrant, under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 21st day of March 1958†, which relates to No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) at Templeton and Islington, in Paparua County, is hereby revoked.

  2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paparua County, at Islington:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 13 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Marshes Road to a point 19 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Marshes Road).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paparua County, at Templeton:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 15 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Trents Road to a point 17 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from Trents Road).

Recognition of Domestic Driving Permit

PURSUANT to regulation 6(1)(a) of the Transport (Convention on Road Traffic) Regulations 1958*, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the recognition in New Zealand of valid drivers licences issued by the competent authorities in Fiji.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work at Bunny-thorpe and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the land Act 1948 as from the 3rd day of October 1966.

All that piece of land containing 1 rood and 2 perches situated in Block III, Kairanga Survey District, being railway land, and being part Section 1369, Town of Bunnythorpe; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 21156 (S.O. 26586), deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Kaitangata Borough Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Kaitangata and revokes the reservation for Town Board Offices over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT-KAITANGATA BOROUGH

SECTION 7, Block XXXI, Town of Kaitangata: Area, 2 roods 17 perches, more or less. Subject as to part to:

(a) Lease 10098 to F. and M. Anderson Ltd., the said lease being subject to Mortgage 143565 to the National Bank of New Zealand Ltd.

(b) Lease 230715 to Kai Lingerie Manufacturing Co. Ltd.

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserves for recreation described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to form part of the Rotorua Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.
