GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Industrial Subdivision Loan 1966, £45,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £45,000, authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring and developing land for subdivision into industrial sections, constructing streets thereon, and providing the necessary services, the Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·132d. in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on 20 September 1966.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 2, 1966—£16,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £16,500, authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water Supply Pipeline Replacement Additional Loan 1956, of £50,000; Street Improvements Loan 1959, of £120,000; and Sewerage Loan 1960, of £400,000, which mature on 24 September and 1 December 1966, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·051d. in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the City of Gisborne; and, that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on 1 August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on 20th September 1966.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei City Council, at a meeting held on 7 September 1966, passed the following resolution:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £400,000, authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City Council for the purpose of meeting the additional cost of providing sewage-treatment works and sewerage reticulation for the City of Whangarei, the Whangarei City Council doth hereby make a special rate of 0·514429d. in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Whangarei; and hereby resolves that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan being for a period of 35 years, or until the loan is paid off; and the said council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said rate as security for the said loan.”

WAIHEKE ROAD BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waiheke Road Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £80,000, authorised to be raised by the Waiheke Road Board under the above-mentioned Act, for meeting the cost of the first stage of a wharf at Kennedy’s Point (£27,000), footpath and road works, street lighting, Orapiu wharf repairs, public conveniences at Onetangi, and depot facilities (£53,000), the said Waiheke Road Board hereby makes a special rate of one and three hundred and thirty-one thousandths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Waiheke road district; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waiheke Road Board held on the 16th day of September 1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan 1966, £11,600
THAT for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £11,600, authorised to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Waterworks Loan 1956, £91,500, Issue of £41,500, part of which (£7,100) matures on 1 September 1966, and of the Sewer Loan 1957, £131,600, Issue of £56,600, and Issue of £15,000, parts of which (£1,500 and £5,000) mature on 1 October 1966, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes a special rate of seventeen one-thousandths of a penny (·017d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Hamilton; and that the rate during the currency of the loan be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly-constituted meeting of the Hamilton City Council, held on the 14th day of September 1966.
