under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting, constructing, and providing, within and without the City of New Plymouth, extensions of, and additions to, the reticulation and treatment of the Council’s water supply, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal seven five pence (0·75d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of New Plymouth; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on 19 September 1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

City Development Loan 1963, £187,700—Final Instalment of £33,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-three thousand pounds (£33,000), authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewers, watermains, and drainage, constructing and reconstructing roads and footpaths, and straightening water courses, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-seven thousandths of a penny (·057d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Plimmerton-Paremata Sewerage Reticulation Additional Loan 1966, £143,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that, at its meeting on 21 September 1966, the Hutt County Council resolved that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £143,000, authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing reticulation for sewerage in the Plimmerton-Paremata sewerage area of the Taupo Riding of the County of Hutt, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two decimal five (two and one-half) pence in £1 on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the 54p special rating area of the Taupo Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Mataura River Flood Protection Loan, 1963—£5,700
THE Gore Borough Council at its meeting held on 19 September 1966, passed the following resolution in respect of the third and final issue of £500 of the above loan:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act, the said Gore Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought five four pence (·0054d.) in the pound (£)
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Gore; and the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable on the 1st days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,500, authorised to be raised by the South Canterbury Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of repaying on maturity that portion of the Orari-Waihi-Temuka Loan 1956 which matured on 1 September 1966, the said South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate of A class, 0·075d.; B class, 0·0525d.; C class, 0·035d.; D class, 0·0175d.; E class, 0·0075d.; F class, 0·0025d. in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property within the Orari-Waihi-Temuka special rating area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly, on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Storm-water Drainage Loan 1966, £94,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £94,000, to be known as the Storm-water Drainage Loan 1966, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of piping and realigning of that section of Waimataitai Creek from the South Island Main Trunk railway line to the western end of the existing concrete drain, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of three hundred and twenty-five thousandths of a penny (·325d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 19th day of September 1966.
