Appointments, Promotion, Extensions of Commissions and of Age for Retirement, Transfer, and Termination of Commission of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force
Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotion, extensions of commissions and of age for retirement, transfer, and termination of commission of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointment
Master Signaller Harvey Hammersley (72543) is granted a short-service commission in the General Duties Branch of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 7 June 1972, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority from 8 December 1965, with effect from 8 June 1966.
Extensions of Commissions
Flight Lieutenant Carey William Adamson (80420) is granted an extension of his commission until 31 December 1969, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers.
Flight Lieutenant John Lambert Alexander Pendreigh (624159) is granted an extension of his commission until 31 December 1975.
Flight Lieutenant Ian Samuel Ritchie (897890) is granted an extension of his commission until 31 December 1977.
Appointment to Career Commission and Extension of Age for Retirement
Flight Lieutenant William John Ramsay (76826) is appointed to a career commission and granted an extension of his age for retirement for a period ending 15 December 1980.

Appointments
Secretarial Division
Roland Reading Parsons (82895) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Secretarial Division) of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 4 July 1972, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flying Officer, with seniority and effect from 5 July 1966.
Murray Victor Kennett (82802) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Secretarial Division) of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 3 July 1974, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 4 July 1966.
Extension of Age for Retirement
The age for retirement of Squadron Leader Clarence Herbert McKay (73653) is extended until 29 May 1973.

Special Duties Division
Charles Hume Thomas (82896) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties Division) of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 12 July 1972, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority from 13 October 1964, with effect from 13 July 1966.
CHAPLAINS BRANCH
Appointment
The Rev. Ian Gray McBride (82830) is granted a short-service commission in the Chaplains Branch of the Regular Air Force for a period ending 3 July 1970, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the relative rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 4 July 1966.

Noeline Marguerite Johnson (82803) is granted a commission in the Women's Royal New Zealand Air Force for a period ending 3 July 1971, in the rank of Assistant Section Officer, with seniority from 4 January 1966, with effect from 4 July 1966.
Susan Joy Kent (82748) is granted a commission in the Women's Royal New Zealand Air Force for a period ending 4 July 1971, in the rank of Assistant Section Officer, with seniority and effect from 5 July 1966.
Judith Margaret Videon (82804) is granted a commission in the Women's Royal New Zealand Air Force for a period ending 3 July 1971, in the rank of Assistant Section Officer, with seniority from 4 January 1966, with effect from 4 July 1966.

Promotion
Flight Lieutenant Bruce Nelson Graham (130365) to be Squadron Leader, with effect from 19 April 1966.

Termination of Commission
The commission of Pilot Officer Peter Alexander Rawson is terminated, with effect from 26 July 1966.
RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Transfer
Flight Lieutenant John Keys (134191) is transferred from the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties Division) Territorial Air Force to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period ending 19 June 1970, with effect from 20 June 1966.
Extension of Commission
Flying Officer Barry John Welch, M.Sc., Ph.D. (339859), is granted an extension of his commission until 31 October 1990.

Pursuant to the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1935, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to reappoint Frank Wallace Littlejohn, and to appoint John Gerhard Husheer, in place of Alfred James Mitchell, to be members of the Tobacco Board as manufacturers' representatives for a period of two (2) years commencing on the 1st day of August 1966.

Revoking Appointment of, and Appointing Licensing Authorities for, Issue of Heavy Traffic Licences
Pursuant to subclause (2) of regulation 10 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955*, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes, as from the 31st day of August 1966, the part of the Warrant dated 2 May 1954† appointing the local authority described in column 1 of the First Schedule hereto as the licensing authority for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the respective local authority, and for such area as is described in column 2 of the First Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints the person described in column 1 of the Second Schedule hereto to be the licensing authority for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for such area as is described in column 2 of the Second Schedule opposite the respective name of the said person.
