BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Paihia Water Supply Loan 1966, £55,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £55,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a public water supply system for Paihia township and district, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·333 of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (based on the unimproved value) in the County of Bay of Islands; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution of the Bay of Islands County Council passed on Wednesday, 22 June 1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridges Loan 1966, £5,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of replacing bridges in the County, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-eighth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (based on the unimproved value) in the County of Bay of Islands; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution of the Bay of Islands County Council passed on Wednesday, 22 June 1966.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Queen’s Park Amenities Loan 1965, £10,000

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £10,000, authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a residence, tea kiosk, and associated works in Queen’s Park, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one six pence (·016d.) in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 25th day of July in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 28 June 1966.

Waikiwi Loan No. 2, 1963—Third Issue of £100,000

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100,000, authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying water and drainage to the Waikiwi, Grasmere, and Collingwood areas of the city, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one nought nine pence (·109d.) in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
——
Electrical Extension Loan, 1966, £200,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Tauranga Electric Power Board, held on 15 June 1966, the following resolution was passed:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Electrical Extension Loan 1966, £200,000, authorised to be raised by special order under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy throughout the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifths (⅖ths) of a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on 15 June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Staff Housing Loan 1966, £50,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting houses thereon or purchasing land and existing houses, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·249d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 27 June 1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Fire Appliance Loan 1966—£2,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Murupara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Fire Appliance Loan 1966—£2,000, authorised to be raised by the Murupara Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance, the said Murupara Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four one (·041d.) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Murupara; and the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 8th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
