RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Improvement Loan 1966, £8,500

I, Earle Lewis Worke Reid, Town Clerk of the Kaitaia Borough Council, do hereby certify that the following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the said Council held at Kaitaia on 25 May 1966:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Water Improvement Loan 1966, £8,500 authorised to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of meeting the additional cost of the work for which the Water Improvement Loan 1963, £28,000 was sanctioned, the Council hereby makes a special rate of twenty-two hundredths (·22d.) of a penny in the pound (on the basis of unimproved value) upon all the rateable property in the Borough of Kaitaia; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MOUNT WELLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waipuna Pensioner Flats Loan No. 3, 1965, £12,950

IN accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the following resolution has been passed by special order by the Mount Wellington Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 21st day of March 1966 and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 25th day of April 1966:

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twelve thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds (£12,950) to be known as the Waipuna Pensioner Flats Loan No. 3, 1965, authorised to be raised by the Mount Wellington Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of construction of pensioner flats, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·006d. in the £1 upon the rateable value of the property in the Borough of Mount Wellington; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring charge during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, for a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Centennial Park Redemption Loan 1966, of £4,000

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council held on the 18th day of May 1966, the following resolution was passed.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000) authorised to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Centennial Park Improvement Loan 1955, of £6,000, which matures on 1 July 1966, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one eighth of a penny (½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1966, £3,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of paying the annual charges on a loan of £3,000, being the Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1966 of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above Act for the purpose of erecting pensioners’ flats, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three seven two pence (·0372d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the borough of Rangiora; and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

CITY OF PORIRUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Public Conveniences Loan 1966, £4,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the annual charges on a loan of £4,500 authorised to be raised by the Porirua City Council under the above-mentioned Act for Public Conveniences Loan 1966, the said Porirua City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0143d. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Porirua City Council held on 24 May 1966.

HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Loan No. 38 (Reticulation) 1966, £200,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000) authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s electric power and gas district and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and thirty-seven thousandths of a penny (0·137d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas district, comprising the Cities of Lower Hutt and Porirua; part of the City of Wellington; the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, Tawa, and Upper Hutt; part of the Hutt County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
