OTAGO CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SPECIAL RATING AREA
PURSUANT to the powers contained in the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Act 1941, the following resolution was
passed at the meeting of the board held on Monday, 16 May
1966:
"The Otago Catchment Board hereby resolves that the
portion of the Otago Catchment District defined in the
Schedule hereto be and is hereby declared to be a special
rating area for the purpose of reconstruction and maintenance
of watercourses therein."
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Otago Land District, Bruce
County, situated in Blocks II and VI, Maungatua Survey
District, containing by admeasurement 708 acres 3 roods 15
perches, more or less, and bounded as follows:
Commencing at the north-west corner of Section 26, Block
II aforesaid, towards the north by a public road being the
northern boundary of Sections 26, 2 of 24, and 1 of 24, Block
II, to the bank of the Waipori River; thence on the east
by the Waipori River to the intersection of a line, being
the south-east boundary of Section 2 of 22, Block II afore-
said; thence by the crossing of a public road and generally
towards the north, east, and south by the river bank
road bounding Sections 2 of 20 and 18, Block II, and
Sections 5, 4, and 3, Block VI, and the public road being
the southern boundary of Sections 3, 2, 1 of 1, and 2 of 1,
Block VI aforesaid; thence towards the south-west and south
by the boundaries of Sections 2 of 1, Block VI, Sections
18, 1 of 20, 2 of 22, 1 of 22, and 26, Block II; thence towards
the west by the boundary of Section 26, Block II aforesaid,
to the place of commencement; excluding therefrom all
public roads.
As the same is shown edged red on the plan marked F4134.

PUTARURU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Putaruru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £2,150 authorised to be raised by the Putaruru
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance, the said Putaruru
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one-sixteenth
of a penny (1/6d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Putaruru Borough, com-
prising the whole of the Borough of Putaruru; and that
the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off."
The foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Putaruru
Borough Council at a meeting held on the 16th day of May
1966.

MURUPARA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan 1965, £3,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Murupara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the Murupara
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of erecting a staff house in Kowhai Avenue, the
said Murupara Borough Council hereby makes a special
rate of decimal nought four nought pence in the pound
(.040d. in the £) upon the rateable capital value of all
rateable property in the Borough of Murupara; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off."

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Loan 1966, £40,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000)
authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending water
reticulation and replacing water mains, the said Lower Hutt
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
0·199d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis
of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City
of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be incorporated and added to the Consolidated special
rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or
about the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or
until such time as the loan is paid off."
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on
26 April 1966.

HURUNUI RABBIT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hurunui Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of £3,950 authorised to be raised by the Hurunui Rabbit
Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
erecting a house for board employees the said Hurunui Rabbit
Board hereby makes a special rate of 3d. of 1d. per acre for
the rateable area of the Hurunui Rabbit Board, comprising
the whole of the Hurunui Rabbit Board District; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day
of July in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off."

Public Notification of Proposed Change in the Mount Roskill
Borough Council District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of
the Mount Roskill Borough Council made on the 3rd day of
May 1966, a change to the district scheme has been recom-
mended for approval under the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953. The change is listed in the Schedule hereto.
