TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a power station, and for the purposes of that public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Taupo Borough Council, Story Place, Taupo, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Taupo Borough Council, Story Place, Taupo; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

FIRST, all that piece of land situate in the South Auckland Land District containing 3 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part Hinemaiia River Bed, and being more particularly shown on Survey Office Plan No. 43067, and thereon coloured yellow, and

Secondly, all that piece of land situate in the South Auckland Land District containing 1 acre and 30 perches, being part Hinemaiia River Bed, and being more particularly shown on Survey Office Plan No. 43067, and thereon coloured pink, and

Thirdly, all that piece of land situate in the South Auckland Land District containing 96 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part Tauhara South B Block, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 42, folio 2 (South Auckland Registry), the said land being more particularly shown on Survey Office Plan No. 43067, and thereon coloured yellow, and

Fourthly, all that piece of land situate in the South Auckland Land District containing 39 acres 3 roods 33 perches, more or less, being part Pahikohuru No. 6 Block, and being more particularly shown on Survey Office Plan No. 43067, and thereon coloured pink.

OTOROHANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR RIVER PROTECTION WORK

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and in the matter of the Waikato Valley Authority Act 1956, notice is hereby given by the Otorohanga Borough Council, pursuant to section 12 of the Waikato Valley Authority Act 1956, and for the purpose of giving effect to a direction of the Waikato Valley Authority that it is proposed to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, the under-mentioned pieces of land for river protection works; and notice is hereby given that a plan showing the said pieces of land is on view and open to inspection at the office of the council at the address set out below during ordinary business hours; and that if any person affected by the taking of the said pieces of land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the said pieces of land, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Otorohanga Borough Council, Council Chambers, Maniapoto Street, Otorohanga.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan (No. 6), 1965, £30,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities’ Loans Act 1956, the Southland County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 (thirty thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Southland County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Southland County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·024d. (0·024 of a penny) in the £ upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the district, comprising the whole of the County of Southland; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Renewal Loan 1965, £2,200

RESOLVED pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two thousand two hundred pounds (£2,200) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the balance of the Sewerage Loan No. 6, 1955, £38,000 (portion £3,000), the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of eleven four hundredths of a penny (11/400d.) in the pound to be levied on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Levin; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Municipal Car Park Building Loan 1965, of £50,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the amendments thereof, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 known as the Municipal Car Park Building Loan 1965, of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of a parking building beneath the proposed Museum extensions in the Queens Park Recreation Reserve, the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·108 of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette, of 28 November 1963, No. 76, at page 1919, of 21 November 1963, No. 75, at page 1864, of 30 January 1964, No. 4, at page 85, and of 2 April 1964, No. 19, at page 561; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Wanganui City Council held on 18 January 1966.

Bridges Renewal Loan 1965, £4,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows:
