KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1965, £21,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of twenty-one thousand pounds (£21,000) authorised
to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purposes of the Rural Housing
Act 1939, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes
a special rate of 0·1509d. in the £ on the rateable value
of all rateable property of the whole of the County of
Kiwitea; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five
(25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Land Purchase Loan No. 2, 1965, £25,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge
on the loan of £25,000 to be known as the Land Purchase
Loan No. 2, 1965 authorised to be raised by the Timaru City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
purchasing property in Stafford Street to be developed in part
for car parking, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes
a special rate of eighty-six thousandths of a penny (·086d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of
Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of
20 years, or until such Loan is fully paid off.”
The above Resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru
City Council held on the 24th day of January 1966.

WAITOMO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
General Extension Loan 1965, of £70,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £70,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitomo
Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy and
otherwise providing for the use of electrical energy through-
out the Waitomo Electric Power District, and for such purposes
to do all or any of such matters and things which the board
is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925
and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities
it enabling, the said Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby
makes a special rate of eight twenty-fifths of a penny (8⁄25d.)
in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Waitomo
Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20
years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Awakino Valley Drainage Loan 1965, £2,200
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £2,200 authorised to be raised by the Hobson County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
constructing diversion cuts and deepening and widening the
Awakino River, the said Hobson County Council hereby
makes a special rate on lands in the Awakino Valley Drainage
District of:
(a) Seven pence in the pound on the unimproved value of
lands classified in Class A, and
(b) Three and a half pence in the pound on the unimproved
value of lands classified in Class B, and
(c) One and three-quarters pence in the pound on the
unimproved value of lands classified in Class C
as shown on the classification list and plan deposited in the
office of the Hobson County Council, in Dargaville; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable annually on the 20th
day of August in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Hobson
County Council held on the 8th day of December 1965.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers rested in it
on that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Hastings City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of
the Repayment Loan No. 1 (£26,800) authorised to be raised
by the Hastings City Council under the Local Authorities
Loans Act 1956 for the repayment on maturity of the balance
of the Development Loan 1958 (£40,000), to make a special
rate of six one hundredth of one penny (·06d.) in the pound
upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the
City of Hastings, comprising the whole of the city; and such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and shall be payable half-yearly in
each and every year during the currency of the loan or until
the loan is fully paid.”

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £2,500 authorised to be raised by the Greytown
Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956
for the purpose of extending the borough sewerage and water
supply systems, the said Greytown Borough Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal nine seven two of a penny
(·972d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of
the Borough of Greytown; and that the said special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan
and be payable yearly on the 5th day of August in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period
of 5 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Onekawa Section of the Napier District Scheme
NOTICE is hereby given that the Town and Country Planning
Appeal Board has consented to a specific departure from the
above section of the scheme by permitting Woolworths (N.Z.)
Properties Ltd. to use the land described in the Schedule
hereto and situated in Menin Road and Henderson Crescent,
Onekawa, for a customers car park, notwithstanding that
such land is and shall remain zoned as residential. The
permission has been granted subject to several conditions
regarding the formation and fencing of the car park.
