HAVELOCK NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Proposed Change in the Borough of Havelock North
District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution
of the Council made on the 21st day of March 1966, the
Council has resolved to recommend that the operative district
scheme be altered in respect of the matter listed in the
Schedule hereto. The change of the district scheme as now
recommended by the Council is deposited in the Council
offices and Public Library, and is open for inspection by all
persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when the
offices are open to the public.
Objections to the proposed change may be made by
written notice in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to
the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 or to the
like effect marked “Objection to Scheme Change” and lodged
at the office of the Council not later than the 8th day of
July 1966.
An appropriate form is available for use of objectors from
the borough office. At a later date every objection will be
open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support
or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the
hearing of objections, if he notifies the Town Clerk in
writing within a period of which public notice will be given.
SCHEDULE
THE rezoning of areas to provide for a street from the
intersection of Joll Road and Campbell Street to Middle and
Te Aute Roads, thence to Hastings Road and continuing
to Napier Road. These areas are more particularly defined on
the map described above.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Departure From Operative District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions
of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amend-
ments and of the regulations made thereunder, the Town
and Country Planning Appeal Board, by Order No. 383/65,
dated the 5th day of April 1966, gave consent to a specified
departure from the provisions of the City of Wanganui
District Scheme by permitting the applicants, P. J. and A. C.
Dempsey, to use as a conditional use that piece of land con-
taining 31·6 perches, more or less, being part Lot 19, on
Deeds Plan 236, and being all the land in memorandum of
lease No. 608772, which land is situated on the corner of
Hatrick and Guyton Streets in the City of Wanganui, for a
funeral directors’ parlour and chapel, notwithstanding that
such land is at present zoned Industrial “B” and shall
remain so zoned, the following conditions to apply:
- That the applicants will, within two months after com-
pletion of the building of their funeral parlour, erect at
their own expense a fence between Lot 19, Deeds Plan
236, and the adjoining property known as 212 Guyton
Street, Wanganui, as follows:
(a) From the Guyton Street frontage for a distance of
24 ft, a concrete block wall 2 ft 8 in. high.
(b) For the next 48 ft, a concrete block wall 6 ft 6 in. high.
(c) For the remainder of the fence line a corrugated iron
fence 6 ft 6 in. high with a wooden painted capping.

The fence is to be maintained by the applicants in
reasonable repair so long as Mr B. J. Kensington shall be
residing in 212 Guyton Street. -
Leave reserved to all parties “to apply”.

THE MINING ACT 1926
NOTICE is hereby given that Philip May Parcell, of Bannock-
burn, farmer, has applied to the Warden of the Otago Mining
District by applications numbered 44, 45, and 46 of 1966 for
water race licences as follows:
(1) Half head from Pigroot Gully below the road for
irrigation purposes.
(2) One head from Shepherd’s Creek below Adams Gully
for irrigation and domestic purposes.
(3) Half head from Adams Gully 500 yards above the road
for irrigation purposes.
The said applications and all objections thereto will be heard
at the Warden’s Court, Cromwell, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 14
June 1966.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar’s Office and noti-
fied to the applicant or his Solicitors, Brodrick and Parcell,
Melmore Street, Cromwell, at least three days before the time
so appointed.

HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER
PURSUANT to section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, the Hawke’s
Bay County Council has resolved by way of Special Order to
alter the boundaries between Maraekakaho and Poukawa
ridings and Meeanee and Puketapu ridings as described in the
attached Schedule.
The alteration hereby made shall take effect on the day on
which it is gazetted.
SCHEDULE
MARAEEKAKAHO RIDING
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay
County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the
middle of the Mangaonuku Stream in line with the north-
western boundary of Section 1, Block X, Maraekakaho
Survey District; thence north-westerly up the middle of
the Mangaonuku Stream to a point in line with the original
north-eastern boundary of Block 3, Gwavas Crown Grant
District, in Block IV, Wakarara Survey District, to and
along that boundary to Kereru Road, along a right line
to and again along that said north-eastern boundary to a
public road; thence south-westerly and southerly along the
north-western boundaries of the said Block 3 and the north-
western and western boundaries of Blocks 1 and 5 and
again Block 1, all of Gwavas Crown Grant District, and
the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle
of the Mangaonuku Stream; thence north-westerly up the
middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Wakarara Survey
District, to and along that boundary to the northernmost
point of the said Section 1; thence westerly along a right
line to the confluence of the Makaroro River and the
Makaroro Stream, Block IX, Wakarara Survey District;
thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station
30 (Aorangi), in Block XI, Pukechahu Survey District,
Wellington Land District, to the intersection of that line
and the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence northerly
generally along the summit of the Ruahine Range to Trig.
