No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) that portion known as Cranford Street (from a point 12 chains measured north-westery generally along the said highway from McFaddens Road to a point 52 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said highway from McFaddens Road).

Harewood Road (from Russley Road to a point 6 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said Harewood Road from Crofton Street).

Memorial Avenue (from a point 1 chain measured north-westerly generally along the said avenue from Grahams Road to a point 28 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said avenue from Russley Road).

Closely Populated Localities and Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. The following Warrants under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 23rd day of August 1955†, the 19th day of September 1956‡, the 23rd day of September 1958§, the 14th day of October 1958|| and the 22nd day of August 1962¶, which relate to areas and roads in Paparua County and the No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara) in Paparua and Waimairi Counties are hereby revoked.

  2. The areas and roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paparua County:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the western boundary of Christchurch City with the eastern boundary of Paparua County and proceeding northerly and north-westerly generally along the boundary of Paparua County to a point in line with the north-western side of Racecourse Road; thence south-westerly generally along the production of that north-western side across the No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara); thence south-westerly generally along that side of Racecourse Road to its junction with the north-eastern side of Buchanans Road; thence north-westerly generally along that roadside to a point measured 16 chains north-westerly generally along the said roadside from Racecourse Road; thence south-westerly generally across the said road at right angles to its north-eastern side to its eastern side of Russley Road; thence north-easterly generally along that roadside across Dinton Street and Bentley Street to a point 15 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said roadside from State Highway No. 73; thence by a right line to a point on the south-westerly side of Avonhead Road 2 chains measured north-westerly generally along that roadside from Hawthornden Road;
