Closely Populated Localities and Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. The following Warrants under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 23rd day of August 1955†, the 19th day of September 1956‡, the 23rd day of September 1958§, the 14th day of October 1958|| and the 22nd day of August 1962¶, which relate to areas and roads in Paparua County and the No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara) in Paparua and Waimairi Counties are hereby revoked.

2. The areas and roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SITUATED within Paparua County:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the western boundary of Christchurch City with the eastern boundary of Paparua County and proceeding northerly and north-westerly generally along the boundary of Paparua County to a point in line with the north-western side of Racecourse Road;
