PURSUANT to section 5A of the Electric Power Boards Act
1925 (as inserted by section 3 of the Electric Power Boards
Amendment Act 1963), His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. This order may be cited as the North Auckland Electric
    Power District Boundary Order 1966.
  2. The boundaries of the North Auckland Electric Power
    District are hereby altered so as to include therein the area
    described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, being
portion of part Lot 2, D.P. 43540, commonly known as Whau
Valley Golf Course, the said area being shown on the plan
marked N.Z.E.D. 714, deposited in the office of the New
Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon
coloured orange.

Lines Licence 1962, Amendment No. 2

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. This order may be cited as the New Plymouth City
    Council Water Power and Electric Lines Licence 1962, Amend-
    ment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part
    of the New Plymouth City Council Water Power and Electric
    Lines Licence 1962* (hereinafter referred to as the principal
    order).
  2. The principal order is hereby amended by adding to para-
    graph 2 thereof the following:
    "and to construct and use the additional lines described in
    the said Schedule."
  3. The principal order is hereby further amended by adding
    to the First Schedule thereto the following:

"ADDITIONAL LINES
"1. A line for the transmission and supply of electrical energy
commencing at the Rahiri Lodge and proceeding thence in a
generally southerly direction along a road to the North Egmont
Chalet; as the said line is shown by means of a red line on
the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 628 deposited in the office of the
New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
"2. A line for the transmission and supply of electrical energy
commencing at the North Egmont Chalet aforesaid, and pro-
ceeding thence in a generally southerly direction along a road
to a television transmitter station on the Hen and Chickens
Bluff; as the said line is shown by means of a red line on
the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 711 deposited as aforesaid."
4. The New Plymouth City Council Water Power and
Electric Lines Licence 1962, Amendment No. 1†, is hereby
revoked.

Authorising William Ian Sarginson, Farmer, of Lake Hawea,
Otago, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating
Electricity

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day of
April 1966
Present:

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby grants to William Ian
Sarginson, farmer, of Lake Hawea, Otago (hereinafter referred
to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions herein-
after set forth, to take and use from Silver Burn (hereinafter
referred to as the said stream), situated in Run 335B, Mid
Hawea Survey District, for the purpose hereinafter set forth,
a stream of water not exceeding 1½ cu. ft. per second at any
one time.

CONDITIONS

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS
    The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the
    Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply
    Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part
    of this licence, except in so far as the same may be incon-
    sistent with the provisions hereof.

  2. LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
    This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations
    1934 and is subject thereto, and to the Electric Supply Regula-
    tions 1935, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the
    Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and to all regulations
    hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution there-
    for respectively.

  3. UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
    Water shall be used solely for the purpose of generating
    electricity and shall be taken from the said stream at a point
    in Run 335B, Mid Hawea Survey District, indicated on the
    plan marked N.Z.E.D. 705, deposited in the office of the New
    Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

  4. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
    The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions
    hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works
    for the purposes of this licence, the positions of the said
    works being indicated on the said plan N.Z.E.D. 705:
    (a) Headworks consisting of an intake and pipeline leading
    to the Pelton wheel and powerhouse hereinafter
    referred to.
    (b) A powerhouse with all the necessary equipment for
    generating electricity.
    (c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse back to
    the said stream.

  5. DURATION OF LICENCE
    Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue
    in force until the 31st day of March 1986, or until electrical
    energy is available from an electric power board or other
    public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

  6. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
    The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs
    (d) and (e) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regula-
    tions 1935 and shall be an alternating current system.

  7. RENTAL
    For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum
    payable in respect of this licence, the present plant is rated
    at 10 kilowatts.

  8. NO RIGHT OF WATER CONFERRED
    Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the
    licensee any right to water.
