Appointment of Chairman of Borstal Parole Board

Pursuant to section 31 (3) of the Criminal Justice Act 1954,
as substituted by section 4 of the Criminal Justice Amendment
Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General has been
pleased to appoint

Alan Aylmer Coates, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate,
of Auckland, to be Chairman of the Waikera Borstal Parole
Board for a period of three years on and from 1 May 1966,
vice John Bryce Thomson, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate,
resigned.

Act 1962

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Maori Welfare Act 1962,

the second column of the Schedule.

Revoking Appointment of, and Appointing, Licensing
Authorities for Issue of Heavy Traffic Licences

Pursuant to subclause (2) of regulation 10 of the Heavy
Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Minister of Transport
hereby revokes as from the 31st day of May 1966, the Warrant
dated 27 September 1965,† appointing the local authorities
described in column 1 of the First Schedule hereto as the
Licensing Authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic
fees due under the said regulations for the district of the
respective local authority and for such area or other areas
as are described in column 2 of the First Schedule hereto, and
hereby appoints as from the said 31st day of May 1966, the
local authorities described in column 1 of the Second Schedule
hereto to be the Licensing Authorities for the purpose of collecting
heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the
district of the respective local authority and for such area or
other areas as are described in column 2 of the Second
Schedule opposite the respective name of the said local
authority:

Provided that the Commissioner of Transport shall be the
Licensing Authority in the case of all heavy motor vehicles
owned by the Crown as provided by subclause (2) of the
said regulation.

Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Bluff Appointed

Pursuant to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister
of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the
Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Bluff for the
term of one year expiring on the 31st day of March 1967.

Thomas Martin Finnerty, Chairman; and

Oliver Bateman Deane, Richard Ernest Harris-Daw, and
Ewan Henry Jamieson (nominated by the New Zealand
Port Employers' Association (Incorporated)); and

William Henry Angle, John Joseph Maines, and Rex
William Powley (nominated by the Bluff Waterfront
Workers' Industrial Union of Workers).

Appointment of the Coromandel County Council to Control
and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby appoints the Coromandel County Council to
control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule
hereto subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve
for scenic purposes.

RESERVE—COROMANDEL COUNTY

PART Section 1, and parts Section 2, Block XIV, Coromandel
Survey District: Area, 111 acres, 1 rood 30·6 perches, more

Revocation of Appointment to Control and Manage and
Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the New Zealand
Historic Places Trust to control and manage as published in
N.Z. Gazette, 22 August 1963, Vol. II, page 1200, and appoints
the Marlborough Historical Society Incorporated to control
and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto
subject to the provisions of the said Act, as an historic reserve.
