Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line
of a Portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway in Block
IX, Kaitawa Survey District, Horowhenua County

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir
Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 29th day
of May 1959, published in Gazette 11 June 1959, Volume II,
at page 757, and registered in the Land Registry Office at
Wellington as No. 434869, defining the middle line of a portion
of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway in so far as it affects the
land described in the Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force
Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been
pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions,
extensions of commissions, and dates of retirement, transfer,
termination of commission, and retirements of officers of the
Royal New Zealand Air Force.
REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointments
The under-mentioned Flying Officers are granted career
commissions in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force,
for periods ending on the date shown:
Terence Harvey John Knight (826184), 9 January 1981.
Ivor John Roberts (80560), 31 December 1982.
Amendments
The notice published in Gazette, 11 July 1963, Vol. II,
page 942, relating to Sergeants David James Greenlees and
John Maitland McLean are hereby amended to read "in the
rank of Flying Officer" instead of "in the rank of Pilot Officer".
The notice published in Gazette, 13 February 1964, Vol. I,
page 184, relating to David James Greenlees is hereby cancelled.
The notice published in Gazette, 20 February 1964, Vol. I,
page 215, relating to John Maitland McLean is hereby cancelled.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPLY BRANCH
Appointment
Secretarial Division
Raymond Alan Pegler, A.F.C. (82632), is granted a short-
service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch
(Secretarial Division), Regular Air Force, for a period ending
3 April 1969 in the rank of Flight Lieutenant with seniority
from 4 April 1961, with effect from 4 April 1966.
Appointment and Promotion
Flight Lieutenant Ivan Ross Hamilton (71047) to be acting
Squadron Leader, with effect from 28 March 1966, and
Squadron Leader, with effect from 15 April 1966.
EDUCATION BRANCH
Appointment
Peter Love, DIP.TCHG. (81896), is granted a short-service
commission in the Education Branch, Regular Air Force, for
a period ending 27 March 1971 to be followed by four years
in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the
rank of Flying Officer with seniority from 28 September 1964,
with effect from 28 March 1966.
Extension of Date of Retirement
The age for retirement of Squadron Leader Harold Bert
Hayward, M.B.E., DIP.TCHG. (74142), is extended until 31
December 1968.
MEDICAL BRANCH
Extension of Commission and Date of Retirement
Squadron Leader Kelson Brasted, B.SC., M.B., CH.B.(U.N.Z.),
D.OBST.(R.C.O.G.) (130880), is granted an extension of his
commission and age for retirement until 31 May 1966.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointment
Stuart Gordon Tunnicliffe is granted a commission in the
Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer for a period
ending 31 March 1970, with seniority and effect from 1 April
1966.
Promotion
Flight Lieutenant (temp.) Glenn Robert Johnston to be
Flight Lieutenant, with effect from 26 February 1966.
Transfer
Flight Lieutenant Sidney Broadley Whitlock, M.A., is transferred to the Retired List "B", with effect from 1 April 1966.
Termination of Commission
The commission of Pilot Officer Thomas Bruce Chapman is
terminated, with effect from 23 March 1966.
RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Extensions of Commissions
The under-mentioned officers are granted extensions of their
commissions until the date shown:

as substituted by section 4 of the Criminal Justice Amendment
Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General has been
pleased to appoint
Ernest Albert Lee, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate,
of Christchurch, to be Chairman of the Invercargill Borstal
Parole Board for a period of three years on and from 1 May
1966, vice John Bryce Thomson, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate, resigned.
