Cancellation of the Vesting in the Opotiki Borough Council and Revocation of the Reservations Over Parts of Reserves

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Opotiki County Council Change of Purpose Over Part of a Reserve to Recreation Purposes and Addition of the Area to the Opotiki-Waioeka Domain

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Opotiki and changes the purpose of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for an aerodrome site to a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, declares the said reserve to be a public domain subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to form part of the Opotiki-Waioeka Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Queenstown Borough Council on the 7th day of February 1966.

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Queenstown Borough Council hereby resolves that the pieces of land held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said borough, in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby declared to be a public reserve for municipal purposes within the meaning of the said Act.”
