Reservation of Land and Declaration That Land be Part of the Uawa Domain
———
PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes and, further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to be a public domain subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act to form part of the Uawa Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of County of Taupo and Borough of Taupo

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from the County of Taupo and included in the Borough of Taupo. All persons affected who object to the proposed alteration of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alterations with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, within one month from the date of publication of this notice.

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Taupo County, containing 225 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost extremity of Section 6, Block XXXIV, Town of Taupo (Taupo Landing Reserve, N.Z. Gazette, 1957, page 1290) situated in Block II, Tauhara Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly along a right line bearing 315° true north, to and generally south-westerly along the shores of Lake Taupo, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 8698, to and generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern boundary of part Nukuhau Block as shown on D.P. 8698, to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. S. 8064; thence northerly along a right line across that part Nukuhau Block aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of part Lot 5, D.P. 8698; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of that part Lot 5 aforesaid to the northernmost corner of that lot, being a point on the generally south-eastern side of Acacia Bay Road; thence generally north-easterly along that roadside, to and generally northerly along the generally western side of the Taupo Oruanui Road (Poihipi Road), to and generally north-westerly, generally easterly and south-easterly along the generally south-western, generally northern and north-eastern boundaries of Taupo Central Block, crossing the intervening Taupo Oruanui Road aforesaid, a public road, and National State Highway No. 1, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to meet the generally northern boundary of the Taupo Borough (N.Z. Gazette, 1964, page 2272), being a point on the right bank of the Waikato River; thence generally south-westerly along that right bank to the point of commencement.
