of £12,700, which matures on 1 March 1966, the said Te
Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one
farthing (¼d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Rural Housing Loan 1966, £3,000
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaikoura
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment
of principal, payment of interest, and other charges on a
loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) authorised to be
raised by the Kaikoura County Council pursuant to the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of making an advance to a
farmer pursuant to the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Kaikoura
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
decimal 013 pence in the £1 on the rateable value, on the
basis of the capital value of all the rateable property in the
County of Kaikoura; and such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, being a
period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan has been paid
off.”

Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2 Loan 1965, £93,000,
First Portion £11,500
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other
powers and authorities it enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment
Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £11,500 being the first portion of the Rangitikei
River Control Scheme No. 2 Loan 1965, £93,000 authorised
to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board for the carry-
ing out of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2, to
make and levy a special rate on a graduated scale according
to the Rangitikei River Control Scheme Classification List
of the said area as follows:
0·309 pence in the pound on Class A Land,
0·247 pence in the pound on Class B Land,
0·185 pence in the pound on Class C Land,
0·124 pence in the pound on Class D Land,
0·062 pence in the pound on Class E Land and,
0·031 pence in the pound on Class F Land,
and shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable in one sum yearly on the 1st day
of August in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

Dunback Water Supply Loan No. 1, 1965
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waihemo
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £6,000 authorised to be raised by the Waihemo
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of providing rural and domestic water supply in the
Dunback Rural Water Supply District, the said Waihemo
County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·3890418d.
in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable
property in the Dunback Rural Water Supply District; and
that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution is a
true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the
Waihemo County Council at a meeting held on the 7th day
of February 1966.

TARARUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tararua
Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest,
and other charges on a loan of £15,500 (to be known as
Redemption Loan 1966) authorised to be raised by the
Tararua Electric Power Board in New Zealand by ‘consent’
under the above-mentioned Act and of all other Acts and
authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of repaying
on maturity those portions of the General Purposes Loan
1955, of £47,440, maturing on the 1st and 2nd days of April
and the 1st day of October 1966, respectively, the said Tararua
Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate
of ¹¹⁄₁₀₀ (eleven hundredths) of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of
all the rateable property in the Tararua Electric Power
District as defined in the Gazette, No. 31, of the 22nd day
of May 1958, at pages 652 and 653; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed by the Tararua Electric Power Board
at a meeting held on Friday the 25th day of February 1966.

Parks Development Supplementary Loan 1965, of £1,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the annual charges
on a loan of £1,000 authorised to be raised by the Upper
Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Parks
Development Loan 1964, £10,000, was sanctioned, the said
Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes a special rate
of 0·005d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Upper Hutt Borough Council held on the 24th day of
February 1966.

Pensioners Flats Loan 1965
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £2,050 authorised to be raised by the Alexandra
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of building pensioners flats, the said Alexandra
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of ½₂nd of
a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Alexandra; and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
April and the 1st day of October in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Certified as a true and correct copy of resolution passed by
council.
