CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on loans of £45,300, £31,100, £52,700, £47,000, £226,500, £49,000, £8,000, and £60,300 authorised to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the purpose of repaying those portions of Sewerage Loan (Treatment Works) No. 1, 1957, of £1,050,000, Sewerage Loan (Treatment Works) No. 2, 1955, of £100,000, New Brighton Sewerage Loan 1954, of £300,000, Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1955, of £500,000, Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1954, of £800,000, and Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1958, of £900,000, which matured on 1 September 1964, 20 September 1964, 1 December 1964, 1 February 1965, 31 March 1965, 1 April 1965, 1 May 1965, and 1 December 1965 respectively, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes special rates of £·00001606, £·0000114, £·00002264, £·00001933, £·00008892, £·00001738, £·000002931, and £·00002037 in the pound respectively upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property within that part of the Christchurch Drainage District described in Schedule C and in Schedule B (as altered from time to time in terms of section 5 (f) of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922 and section 60 (6) of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951), to a resolution of the board, dated the 17th day of April 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, of the 26th day of April 1923; and that the special rates shall be annual-recurring rates during the currency of the loans and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loans, being periods of 29, 27, 29, 27, 25, 29, 27, and 29 years respectively, or until the loans are fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held on 22 February 1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £350,000 authorised to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the purpose of constructing the Sumner Interceptor Sewer and ancillary works, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes a special rate of £·0001095 in the pound upon the capital rateable value of an area described in Schedule C and in Schedule B (as altered from time to time in terms of section 5 (f) of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922 and section 60 (6) of the Chistchurch District Drainage Act 1951), to a resolution of the board, dated the 17th day of April 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, of the 26th day of April 1923; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held on 22 February 1966.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 2, 1965, £30,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council for the purpose of making advances to farmers in accordance with the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Whakatane County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one one four (·114) pence in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Whakatane; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Whakatane County Council on 22 February 1966.

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and to each and every power it thereunto enabling, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,150 described as Waterworks Renewal Loan 1966 and authorised to be raised by the Dargaville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Water Main Renewal Loan 1954, £184,600, which matures on the 1st day of April 1966, the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Dargaville hereby makes a special rate of decimal six two (·62d.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville on the basis of the unimproved value, such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAUPO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1965, £32,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £32,000 to be known as the Staff Housing Loan 1965 authorised to be raised by the Taupo County Council for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting houses thereon or purchasing land and existing houses for Council staff, the Taupo County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·055d. in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property within the whole of Taupo County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of March and the 15th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo County Council at a meeting held on the 22nd day of February 1966.

TEMUKA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authority Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Sewerage Treatment Works and Reticulation Extension Loan 1962, £52,000, was sanctioned, the Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of ²/₁₀d. (0·2d. in the pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or till the loan is fully paid off.”
