Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place, recreation ground, and sports ground for the common use and benefit of the members of the Otaraua hapu.

Declaring Certain Buildings and Land in the Borough of Otaki to be a Public Institution Under the Mental Health Act 1911

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of December 1965
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 44 of the Mental Health Act 1911, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the buildings on the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with the land described in that Schedule, being land used or intended to be used in connection with the said buildings, to be a public institution within the meaning of the Mental Health Act 1911.
SCHEDULE
FIRSTLY, all that area of land situated in the Borough of Otaki containing 83 acres 1 rood 24·7 perches, more or less, being Titokitoki A, part Titokitoki 3, Waitohu 11b and 11c 2, Haruatai 7, and part Church mission grant and accretions thereto, part of the said land being also Lot 2, D.P. 9569, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 432, folio 259, Wellington Registry, together with a right of way created by Transfer No. 209345.
Secondly, all that area of land situated in the Borough of Otaki containing 2 roods 30·9 perches, more or less, being part Haruatai 11 and being also Lot 25 and part Lot 26, D.P. 2464, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 283, folio 115, Wellington Registry.

PURSUANT to the Navy Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments and promotions and terminations of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy.
Rear-Admiral R. E. Washbourn, C.B., D.S.O., O.B.E., placed on the Retired List, to date 1 October 1965.
Captain J. O’C. Ross, C.B.E., promoted to Rear-Admiral, and appointed First Naval Member and Chief of Naval Staff in succession to Rear-Admiral R. E. Washbourn, C.B., D.S.O., O.B.E., to date 1 October 1965.
