PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Gasworks Redemption Loan 1965, £26,800

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-six thousand eight hundred pounds (£26,800) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Gasworks Loan 1955 of £45,000, which matures on 1 February 1966, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of four hundred and sixty-seven ten thousandths of a penny (0·0467d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 22nd day of November 1965.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Library Building Supplementary Loan 1965, £29,800

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-nine thousand eight hundred pounds (£29,800) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the erection of a building to accommodate a library, shops, and offices and demolishing the existing building, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of twenty-five thousandths of a penny (0·025d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Street Improvement Redemption Loan 1965, Third Issue of £15,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Street Improvement Loan 1952, which matures on the 1st day of February 1966, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of three hundred and forty-eight ten thousandths of a penny (0·0348d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of seven (7) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Loan No. 39, 1965, Redemption, £12,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming £12,000 of Pipe Line Loan No. 2, 1955, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of nine one-thousandths of a penny (·009d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas District, comprising the Cities of Lower Hutt and Porirua, part of the City of Wellington, the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, Tawa, and Upper Hutt, part of the Hutt County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Street Improvements Loan 1965, £50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tawa Borough Council has resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Tawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out further street upgrading and footpath formation, the said Tawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·7d. in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Tawa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of June and the 15th day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loans

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the renewal loans detailed in the Schedule hereunder and which are authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the difference between the amounts set aside on redemption and the amounts of the original loans, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0729d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loans and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loans, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loans are fully paid off.”

(a) Abattoir Renewal Loan 1965, £13,700.

(b) Water Renewal Loan No. 2, £35,300.
