RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

"THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Milton Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of repayment of the Stormwater Loan 1964, £8,650 and interest thereon, the council appropriates and pledges a special annually recurring rate of 0·63d. in the (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Milton, comprising the whole of the Borough of Milton."

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Review of Bay of Islands County District Scheme—Russell and Paihia Sections

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the council made on the 17th day of November 1965, the district scheme as already operative is under review, and that the council has recommended that the operative scheme be approved with the changes now incorporated therein.

The scheme as now recommended by the council has been deposited in the County Council Office, at Kawakawa and, in the case of the Russell Section, at the office of the town council, and, in the case of the Paihia Section, at the Paihia Post Office and is there open for inspection by all persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the proposed changes of the district scheme or in respect of any portion of the operative district scheme which the council proposes to confirm without any change, may be made by way of written notice in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 or to the like effect, marked "Objection to District Scheme" and lodged in the office of the council at any time not later than the 18th day of January 1966.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

Changes of the City of Whangarei District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned changes to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the City of Whangarei were approved by the council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 17th day of November 1965.

The council has also resolved that the under-mentioned changes to the district scheme shall come into operation on the 29th day of November 1965.

Copies of the scheme changes as approved have been deposited in the council's office and in the Public Library and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

Change to the Borough of Mount Eden District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned change to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Mount Eden was approved by the council by resolution passed at its meeting held on 23 November 1965. The council also resolved that the under-mentioned change to the district scheme shall come into operation on 6 December 1965. A copy of the change as approved has been deposited in the council's office, 64 Valley Road, Mount Eden and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when the office is open to the public.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Combined Area District Scheme

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that by a decision dated 15 October 1965, the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board consented to the application of Mr L. G. Coombe for a departure under section 35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 from the abovementioned district scheme for his property at 82 Clemow Road, New Plymouth.

The substance and effect of the consent is to permit the applicant to use as a conditional use the land for industrial purposes as a conditional use, notwithstanding that such land is and shall remain zoned as residential.

The full description of the land is shown in the said application which may be inspected, without fee, at any time during office hours at the Town Clerk's Office, Liardet Street, New Plymouth.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Kairanga County Council will be determining an application received from the Palmerston North City Council for the conditional use in a rural zone of land situated on Whitmore Road, Linton, owned by M. T. and J. M. McEvedy, and described as part rural section 64, Fitzherbert Township, Block XIV, Kairanga S.D., for the purpose of establishing thereon an abattoir and by-products works.

Every person who claims to be affected may object to the proposed conditional use and shall have a right to be heard by the council in person, or by counsel, and to call evidence in support of his contentions if he advises the council to that effect in writing not later than Thursday, 9 December 1965. Every such notice shall state the grounds of his objection and whether the objector wishes to be heard in support of his objection.
