RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Waterworks Loan 1964, £20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £20,000 to be known as the Waterworks Loan 1964 authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of laying mains to increase the water supply to the Kensington and Redruth areas and the southern part of the city, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of sixty-nine thousandths of a penny (0·069d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 25th day of January 1965.

PAPAKURA BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Papakura Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain work, namely, the taking of land for a water catchment area in the County of Franklin and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Papakura, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

Every person affected who wishes to make any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount of or payment of compensation) must state his objection in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Borough Council Chambers, Papakura.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 26 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 177, of the Parish of Hunua, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 1169, folio 40 of the Register Book at Auckland as is shown coloured yellow on Survey Office plan Number 44710 and situated adjacent to the Papakura Borough Water Catchment area.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. A plan of the land required to be taken lies open to public inspection at the office of the council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objection they may wish to make to the execution of such work or the taking of such land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) and to send such written objection to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

This land is being taken to improve the alignment of the Kihikihi-Arapuni Main Road between Pukeatua and Arapuni.
