RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electric Power Supply Loan 1964, £113,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and thirteen thousand pounds (£113,000) authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and improving the electrical transmission and distribution system in the council’s district, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal nine five three pence (0·953d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo, comprising the whole of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on 25 January 1965.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and twenty-three thousand pounds (£123,000) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the borough sewage treatment works and sewerage system, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three hundred and twenty-eight four-hundredths of a penny (328/400d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fuly paid off.”

Rural Housing Loan 1964, £15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 0185 (one hundred and eighty-five ten-thousandths) of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Development Loan 1964, £92,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Amethyst Electric Power Board held on the 28th day of January 1965 the following resolution was passed.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Amethyst Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £92,000 authorised to be raised by the Amethyst Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Amethyst Electric Power District, and for such purposes to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said Amethyst Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of eight point two seven pence (8·27d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Amethyst Electric Power District.”

Staff Housing Supplementary Loan 1964, £350

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £350 authorised to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a staff house, the said Picton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny (1/16d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property as appearing on the valuation roll of the Borough of Picton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £860 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the erection of pensioners’ cottages at present under erection, the Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of five-hundredths of a penny (0·05d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate should be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

Drainage Loan 1964, £32,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £32,000 to be known as the Drainage Loan 1964 authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of piping and enlarging sections of the city sewer and storm water drains, the Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and eleven thousandths of a penny (0·111d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 25th day of January 1965.
