Supreme Court Sittings 1966
WE, three of the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in us by the Judicature Act 1908, hereby appoint that during the year 1966 sittings for the trial of criminal cases shall be held for the respective judicial districts hereinafter mentioned at the Supreme Court House or the Courthouse, as the case may be, at the place hereinafter specified, commencing on the dates and at the times hereinafter mentioned, and we do hereby further appoint that sittings for the trial of civil cases and causes under the Matrimonial Proceedings Act 1963, other than those to be heard at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, be held on the same dates as are hereinafter mentioned in respect of places other than Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.

PROVISION AS TO HOLIDAYS
If any of the days above appointed for sittings shall be a public holiday the sittings shall commence on the first day after the day so appointed which is not a holiday. It shall be lawful for any one or more Judges of the Supreme Court to order that the Supreme Court and the offices thereof at any place shall be closed for any public or proclaimed holiday in the district.

Reorganisation of Local Government, Bay of Plenty Harbours District (Time and Place for Hearing Appeals)
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Local Government Commission Act 1961, it is hereby notified that the Local Government Appeal Authority has fixed 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 9 November 1965, as the time, and the Conference Room, Sports Drome, Government Gardens, Rotorua, as the place, for the hearing of appeals by the Tauranga Harbour Board, the Whakatane Harbour Board, the Tauranga City Council, the Whakatane Borough Council, the Mount Maunganui Borough Council, the Kawerau Borough Council, and the Whakatane County Council against the final scheme of the Local Government Commission, dated 14 May 1965, providing for the abolition of the Whakatane Harbour District, the dissolution of the Whakatane and Ohiwa Harbour Boards, the inclusion of the Whakatane Harbour District, the Counties of Matamata and Opotiki, and the Boroughs of Matamata, Opotiki, and Putaruru in the Tauranga Harbour District, the transfer of the functions of the Whakatane and Ohiwa Harbour Boards to the Tauranga Harbour Board, and the change of the name of the Tauranga Harbour District to the Bay of Plenty Harbours District and that of the Tauranga Harbour Board to the Bay of Plenty Harbours Board.
