National Roads Board—Notice Concerning the Stopping of Vehicles on State Highway

It is hereby notified that, pursuant to National Roads Board Bylaw 1958, No. 1,* the Board has, by resolution carried at its meeting on 23 June 1965, prohibited the stopping of vehicles at all times on the section of State highway described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

No. 1 State Highway from the intersection of the highway with Clifton Street, Bulls, for a distance of 90 ft to the south of the intersection.

Declaring Area a Water Area in Terms of Section 371A of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waihi Pukawa Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 371A (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a water area for the purposes of section 371A of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Assignment of Foreshore Licence at Taieri Mouth

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Secretary for Marine hereby gives notice that the licence granted to Leslie Gerald Trounson on 24 February 1960* to use and occupy a site on the foreshore at Taieri Mouth for the purposes of erecting and maintaining a jetty and breast work thereon is hereby assigned to National Mortgage and Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd. and Albert James Trounson.

The Indecent Publications Act 1963

IN the matter of an appeal by John Lochiel Robson, of Wellington, Secretary for Justice, from the decision of the Indecent Publications Tribunal in respect of a paperback edition of Lady Chatterley’s Lover by D. H. Lawrence, pursuant to section 17 of the Indecent Publications Act 1963. It is hereby notified that, on the 17th day of August 1965, the Supreme Court did dismiss the appeal set out above.

Te Awamutu Rabbit District, Alteration of Ward Boundaries (Notice No. Ag. 8239)

PURSUANT to section 14B of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Te Awamutu Rabbit Board hereby declares that the boundaries of the wards of the Te Awamutu Rabbit District, which was constituted on the 19th day of August 1961,* be altered and redefined, and, as from the 9th day of September 1965, the boundaries of the said wards shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

BOUNDARIES OF WARD 1

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Waipa County, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the northern side of Collins Road and the eastern side of the Auckland-Wellington Railway, situated in Block I, Hamilton Survey District, and proceeding southerly along the eastern side of the said railway, to and generally southerly along the generally western boundary of the Ohaupo Town District as described in Gazette, 1953, page 1418, to and again generally southerly along the generally eastern side of the said railway, to its intersection with the left bank of the Mangapiko Stream in Block II, Puniu Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Te Awamutu Borough as described in Gazette, 1965, page 173; thence generally westerly along that boundary and the aforesaid left bank, and its production to the middle of the Waipa River, being a point on the boundary of the Te Awamutu Rabbit District as described in Gazette, 1961, page 1262; thence generally northerly and generally north-easterly along the boundaries of the aforesaid rabbit district to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF WARD 2

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Waipa County, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the northern side of Collins Road and the eastern side of the Auckland-Wellington Railway, situated in Block I, Hamilton Survey District, and proceeding generally easterly along the boundary of the Hamilton City as described in Gazette, 1965, page 172, to and generally south-easterly along the boundary of the Te Awamutu Rabbit District as described in Gazette, 1961, page 1262, to and generally southerly and easterly along the boundary of the Cambridge Borough as described in Gazette, 1958, page 1732, to the southernmost corner of Lot C, D.P. 3295, situated in Block XIII, Cambridge Survey District; thence generally southerly along the generally western side of the Cambridge-Roto-orangi road and its production, to meet the generally southern side of McLarnon Road; thence generally westerly along that roadside and its production to the generally north-western side of the Te Awamutu-Cambridge road; thence generally south-westerly along that roadside to its intersection with the left bank of the Mangapiko Stream, situated in Block IV, Puniu Survey District; thence generally westerly along that bank, and the generally northern boundary of the Te Awamutu Borough as described in Gazette, 1965, page 173, to its intersection with the eastern side of the Auckland-Wellington Railway; thence northerly along that side, to and along the boundary of the Ohaupo Town District as described in Gazette, 1953, page 1418, to the eastern side of the aforesaid railway; thence again northerly along that eastern side to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Waipa and Matamata Counties, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block XIII, Cambridge Survey District, being the intersection of the generally western side of the Roto-orangi-Cambridge road with the generally southern boundary of the Cambridge Borough as described in Gazette, 1958, page 1732, and proceeding generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern boundary of that borough to the middle of the Waikato River, being a point on the boundary of the Te Awamutu Rabbit District as described in Gazette, 1961, page 1262; thence generally easterly and generally southerly up the middle of that river, to and north-westerly along the boundary of the Matamata County as described in Gazette, 1950, page 277, to and generally north-easterly down the middle of the Waiteti Stream to a point in line with the generally south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 27607; thence generally north-westerly to and along that boundary, to and along a right line across Orepunga Road, to and north-westerly, south-westerly, and again north-westerly along the south-western, south-eastern, and south-western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. S. 7036, and Lot 1, D.P. S. 98, to the westernmost corner of that last-mentioned lot; thence westerly along a right line to Trig. Station Pukeatua in Block VII, Mangatautari Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of part Mangatautari 4G Block, to and along a right line across a public road, to and generally westerly along the generally northern boundary of part Mangatautari 4 Block, to and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 33188, situated in Block V of the aforesaid survey district, to the northernmost corner of that lot; thence north-easterly and generally westerly
