Revoking a Proclamation Taking an Easement Over Land for the Purposes of a Maori School in Block III, Mangakahia Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 4th day of December 1962, published in Gazette of 6 December 1962, Volume III, at page 2174, and registered as No. 19476, North Auckland Land Registry, taking an easement over land for the purposes of a Maori school in Block III, Mangakahia Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 22nd day of July 1965.

Town District of Normanby Merged in County of Hawera

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. As on and from the 1st day of October 1965 the Normanby Town Council is hereby dissolved and the Town District of Normanby is hereby merged in the County of Hawera.

  2. The dissolution of the said Town Council and the merger of the said town district in the said county shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of September 1965 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Levels and included in the City of Timaru.

  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, containing 1,500 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Old North Road in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 19552, and proceeding north-westerly and easterly to and along the general eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 19552, to a point on a line parallel to and three chains west of the middle line of Old North Road; thence northerly generally along that line to the northern boundary of Rural Section 3932; thence westerly along that boundary and its production to the left bank of Washdyke Creek; thence northerly along the said bank to the western boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 578; thence northerly along that boundary to a point on a line parallel to and three chains south of the middle of Washdyke Flat Road; thence westerly along that line to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 20104; thence southerly, westerly, and northerly along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of the said Lot 1 to the aforesaid parallel line being three chains south of the middle line of Washdyke Flat Road; thence westerly along that line to the eastern boundary of part Rural Section 7457; thence northerly along that boundary to the southern side of Washdyke Flat Road; thence north-easterly along a right line across that road to the south-eastern corner of Lot 34, D.P. 3363; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of that lot to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 558; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 3363; thence north-westerly along a right line parallel to the National State Highway No. 8 to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 558; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the south-western side of National State Highway No. 8; thence northerly along a right line to the north-western corner of Lot 17, D.P. 2750; thence easterly along the northern boundary of that lot and Lot 16, D.P. 2750, and its production to the middle of National State Highway No. 1; thence south-easterly along the middle of that highway to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 6792; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 11861, to the north-western side of Seadown Road; thence north-easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 3324; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that lot to the western boundary of the South Island Main Trunk Railway; thence easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 15376; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that lot and its production to the mean high-water mark of the South Pacific Ocean; thence south-westerly along that high-water mark to Dashing Rocks; thence westerly generally to and along the generally northern boundaries of Lots 58 to 64 inclusive, 66, 67, and 68, D.P. 751, to the northernmost corner of the last Lot 68; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of that lot to its south-western corner; thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 22622; thence north-easterly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that lot and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 74 to 84 inclusive, D.P. 751, to the eastern side of National State Highway No. 1; thence southerly along the eastern side of that highway to a point in line with the middle of Grants Road; thence westerly generally along the middle of that road to the middle of the Old North Road; thence north-easterly along that middle line to the point of commencement.

County of Manukau and Borough of Manurewa Abolished and City of Manukau Constituted

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


ORDER

  1. On and from the 3rd day of September 1965 the districts of the County of Manukau and the Borough of Manurewa shall be abolished and the councils of that county and that borough shall be dissolved.

  2. The area described in the First Schedule hereto, being the area comprised in the districts of the existing County of Manukau and the existing Borough of Manurewa, shall be constituted a borough to be known as the City of Manukau (hereinafter referred to as the said city).
