The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of
the Mosgiel Borough Council held on the 2nd day of August

GREEN ISLAND BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a supplementary loan of £1,990 authorised to be raised by
the Green Island Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the provision of elderly persons’ cottages, the Green
Island Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one-
tenth of a penny (¹⁄₁₀) in the pound (£) of the annual
rateable value of the whole of the Borough of Green Island;
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate on
the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised to be
raised by the Papatoetoe Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing footpaths
within the borough, the said Papatoetoe Borough Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three nine
one four pence (.03914d.) in the pound on the rateable
value of all rateable property in the Borough of Papatoetoe;
and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of the loan repayable on the 1st day of
August in each year and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until such
loan is fully paid off.”

LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Extension Loan 1965, £27,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lyttelton Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on the loan of £27,000 to be raised under the above-
mentioned Act for the extension of the Borough water supply,
the said Lyttelton Borough Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of two pence halfpenny in the pound upon the
rateable value on the basis of the annual value of all rateable
property situated in the Borough of Lyttelton; and that rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the cur-
rency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting
of the Lyttelton Borough Council held on Monday, 2 August
1965.

Storm-water Drainage Supplementary Loan 1965, £3,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount
Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
rates on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) authorised
to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the
purpose for which the Storm-water Drainage Loan 1964,
thirty thousand pounds (£30,000), was raised, the said Mount
Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of decimal nought nought eight six eight pence (.00868d.)
in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough
of Mount Roskill; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period
of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

District Scheme Changes Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that the changes to the
district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act
1953, as scheduled below, were approved by the Council by
resolution passed at its meeting held on the 27th day of July
1965 there being no objections.

The Council has also resolved that the under-mentioned
changes to the district scheme shall come into operation on
the 1st day of September 1965.

Copies of the scheme changes, as approved, have been
deposited in the Council’s office, the Papatoetoe Public Library,
and the Papatoetoe Mobile Library and may be inspected,
without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when
these places are open to the public.
