RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Civic Centre Redemption Loan 1965, £15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Civic Centre Building Loan 1954, £20,000, which matures on 14 July 1965; the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one one eight ( '118d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Feilding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on the 8th day of July 1965.

THE HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Loan No. 35, 1965, Reticulation, £200,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Board's electric power and gas district and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and fifty-one thousandths of a penny (0·151d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas District comprising the City of Lower Hutt; part of the City of Wellington; the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, Porirua, Tawa, and Upper Hutt; part of the Hutt County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Middleton Riding Works Redemption Loan 1965, of £5,000

PURSUANT to the local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the amount outstanding on the Middleton Riding Works Loan 1954, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·027493d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area comprising the whole of the Middleton Riding of the Waimairi County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,300 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the amount outstanding on the Wairarapa Riding Works Loan 1954, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·011275d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area comprising the whole of the Wairarapa and Avonhead Ridings of the Waimairi County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Taihape propose, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, to develop for housing purposes, by subdividing, roading, and reticulating with water sewerage and electric power, the land described in the Schedule hereto, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Town Clerk's office, Town Hall, Hautapu Street, Taihape.

SCHEDULE

AN estate in fee simple in all that piece of land situate in the Borough of Taihape, containing six acres one rood six and three-tenth perches (6 a. 1 r. 6-3 p.), more or less, being Lots 5 and 6, Deposited Plan No. 21450, part Suburban Section 3, Town of Taihape, and being the residue in the land in certificate of title, Volume 570, folio 137, Wellington Registry. The lands above described have frontages to Kaka and Ruru Roads, Taihape.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND OF PROPOSED STOPPING OF ROAD

Notice is hereby given that the Clifton County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road through part of Lot 3, Deposited Plan 6706, being part Section 5, Block II, Upper Waitara Survey District, and for the purpose of such public work proposes to take 1 acre and 30-7 perches being part of Lot 3, Deposited Plan 6706.

And notice is given that the Council proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to close part of Uruti Road. A plan of the land required to be taken and of the part of road proposed to be closed is deposited for public inspection at the office of the said Clifton County Council in Domett Street, Waitara. The area required to be taken for road is coloured thereon orange and the part of road proposed to be closed is coloured thereon green. All persons affected by the proposed taking are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objections to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection, within 40 days of the date of the first publication of this notice, namely, the 24th day of July 1965, to the Clifton County Council at its office aforesaid, and all persons objecting to the proposed closing of road are likewise called upon to lodge their objections in writing at the said office on or before the 3rd day of September 1965.
