THE UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby
given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough
of Upper Hutt require to take the land described in the
Schedule hereto for a public work, namely, service lane.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan, being numbered
750, of the said land is open for inspection by all persons,
without fee, during office hours at the offices of the Upper
Hutt Borough Council, Upper Hutt. Every person affected is
hereby required to set forth in writing any objection he
may wish to make to the taking of the said land, not being
an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and
to send such written objections within forty (40) days from
the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Upper
Hutt Borough Council, Upper Hutt.
SCHEDULE
ALL those pieces of land situate off Russell Street (rear access
to Main Road shops), in the Borough of Upper Hutt, being
parts of Section 128 of the Hutt District containing:
First, one decimal four (1·4) perches, being the part Lot
10, D.P. 1831, coloured orange on the said plan, and being
part of the land comprised in and described by certificate of
title, Volume 203, folio 33 (Wellington Registry);
Secondly, one decimal four (1·4) perches, being the part
Lot 11, D.P. 1831, coloured blue on the said plan, and being
part of the land comprised in and described by certificate of
title, Volume 231, folio 178 (Wellington Registry);
Thirdly, one decimal nine (1·9) perches, being the part
Lot 12, D.P. 1831, coloured orange on the said plan, and
being part of the land comprised in and described by certificate
of title, Volume B 4, folio 1157 (Wellington Registry);
Fourthly, two decimal seven (2·7) perches, being the part
Lot 12, D.P. 1831, coloured blue on the said plan, and being
part of the land comprised in and described by certificate of
title, Volume C 4, folio 277 (Wellington Registry); and
Fifthly, seven decimal one (7·1) perches, being the part Lot
13, D.P. 1831, coloured sepia on the said plan, and being
part of the land comprised in and described by certificate of
title, Volume 203, folio 34 (Wellington Registry).

BOROUGH OF WAIUKU
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Change Nos. 2, 4–9 Inclusive, to Waiuku District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that changes Nos. 2, 4–9
inclusive, to the district scheme under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Waiuku were approved
by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held
on 12 July 1965, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations
relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme
had been amended to give effect to all objections and
appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme
required by the Board had been incorporated. The Council
also resolved that the change shall come into operation on
31 July 1965. Copies of the scheme as approved have been
deposited in the Council’s office and at the Public Library
and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so
requires at any time when these places are open to the
public.

BOROUGH OF WAIUKU
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Changes of Borough of Waiuku District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution
of the Waiuku Borough Council made on the 12th day of
July 1965, a change to the district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The change is listed in the Schedule hereto.
The change has been deposited in the office of the Waiuku
Borough Council, Queen Street, Waiuku, and at the Public
Library and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all
persons interested therein at any time when the above
places are open to the public.
Objections to the proposed change or any part thereof shall
be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to
the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 and shall
be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later
than 10 September 1965. (A suitable form for use of
objectors is available from the Council offices.) At a later
date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any
person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will
be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he
notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of
which public notice will be given.

CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Change of City of Christchurch District Scheme, Section One (Zoning)
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of
the Council dated 19 July 1965, it has been recommended that
the operative district scheme be changed in respect of the
matter listed in the Schedule hereunder.
The change of the district scheme as now recommended by
the Council is deposited in the Council offices, City Engineer’s
Department, 166 Gloucester Street, and the Canterbury Public
Library, Cambridge Terrace.
Objections to the proposed change of the district scheme
may be made in written notice on form E prescribed in the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the
like effect; marked “Objection to Scheme Change”, and lodged
at the offices of the Council at any time not later than noon
on Friday, 10 September 1965. An appropriate form for use
by objectors is available at the Council offices, City Engineer’s
Department, 166 Gloucester Street, and the Canterbury
Public Library.
At a later date every objection will be open for public
inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any
objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of
objections if he notifies the Council in writing within a period
of which public notice will be given.

PROPOSED CHANGE
Change No. 33: Code of Ordinances, Ordinance 19
Ordinance 19 (2) (b): In the case of an apartment house
or building containing service flats, accommodation for cars
in the proportion of not less than one car to each household
the building is designed to accommodate.
19 (3): The provision for parking required above may be
made in any case as part of a side or rear yard space, but not
in any front yard space, of any site, or may be modified or
totally dispensed with in relation to any particular site where
the Council is of the opinion that the enforcement of this
requirement would create undue hardship.
19 (3) (a): The provision for car-parking space required
shall be as though the space were covered and shall be deemed
to be an accessory building as defined in Ordinance 2.
19 (3) (b): Every parking space shall be of usable shape
and shall have an area of not less than 150 sq.ft. exclusive
of access drives.
