the Opunake Riding, the Egmont County Council hereby makes a special rate of nine pence (9d.) in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property as defined in the special rating area in the Opunake Riding; and the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the period or currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan until the full period of 30 years or until such loan is fully repaid.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Taihape Workshop and Housing Loan 1964
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council for the purpose of erecting a workshop on Council property in Taihape, purchasing land, and erecting houses for Council employees, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·72045 pence in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Rangitikei; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THE HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Loan No. 33, 1965, £240,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £240,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting further storeys on and extending the Board’s building on the corner of Queens Drive and Queens Road, Lower Hutt, and for such purposes to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (0·1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas District comprising the City of Lower Hutt; part of the City of Wellington; the Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, Porirua, Tawa, and Upper Hutt; part of the Hutt County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE
Maungaraki Development Loan (No. 6) 1965, £30,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing land for housing at Maungaraki, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven hundred and seventy-nine thousandths of a penny (0·779d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 28 June 1965.

NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
I, William Read Bainbridge, Chairman of the North Canterbury Electric Power Board, do hereby certify that the following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North Canterbury Electric Power Board held in Rangiora on the 13th day of July 1965.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and by all other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the North Canterbury Electric Power Board under the provisions of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of redeeming the balance owing in respect to Issue No. 2 of £25,000 of the North Canterbury Electric Power Board Supplementary Reticulation Loan 1954, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one seventy-fifth of a penny in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property of all portions of the Rangiora, Kowai, Eyre, Oxford, Ashley, Waipara, Cheviot, and Amuri Counties within the Board’s district; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on 1 August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan 1965, £81,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of eighty-one thousand pounds (£81,000) authorised to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Electricity Development Loan 1955, £240,000, and Electricity Development Loan 1959, £180,000, which mature on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of December 1965, the said South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of forty-five thousandths of one penny (0·045d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the South Canterbury Electric Power District as defined in the Third Schedule to the Proclamation dated 23 August 1957 and published in the Gazette on 29 August 1957 at page 1575; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies open to public inspection at the office of the Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objection they may wish to make to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection to the Waipa County Council, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.
