WAIKOUAITI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waikouaiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,150 authorised to be raised by the Waikouaiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying on maturity that portion of Water Supply Loan 1952 which matured on 1 November 1964, the Waikouaiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one half-penny (½d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waikouaiti; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above is a true copy of resolution passed.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 1, 1965

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £24,000 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Municipal Buildings Loan 1954, of £35,000 which matures on 31 May 1965, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·085d. in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on 27 April 1965.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 2, 1965

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £29,500 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Street Improvements Loan 1952, £120,000 and the Street Improvements Loan 1959, £120,000 which mature on 17 August and 1 and 31 December 1965, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·082d. in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Gisborne City Council held on 27 April 1965.

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Hydro-Electric Generation Supplementary Loan 1965, £14,500

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fourteen thousand five hundred pounds (£14,500) authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a hydro-electric generating station on the Hinemaiaia River, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal one nought one pence (0·101d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Taupo Borough Council at a meeting held on 26 April 1965.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workshop Loan 1965, £6,500

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,500 authorised to be raised by the Eltham County Council in the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting and equipping a workshop and staff amenities building, the Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven three six (0·0736d.) of one penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Eltham; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Library Building Loan 1961, £298,000—Final Issue of £98,000

That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ninety-eight thousand pounds (£98,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a building to accommodate a library, shops, and offices and demolishing the existing building, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of eighty-four thousandths of a penny (0·084d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Buckland Beach Community Centre Hall Loan 1965, £15,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a Community Centre Hall at Bucklands Beach within the County of Manukau, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one two nine pence (0·0129d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the County of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
