LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Flats Supplementary Loan 1965
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Pensioners' Flats Loan 1964, £14,250 was raised, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three four-hundredths of a penny (3/400d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AMETHYST ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Amethyst Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £92,000 authorised to be raised by the Amethyst Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing all the shares of Amethyst Power Ltd., extending the distribution system within the board's district, erecting a staff house, office buildings, and switching station, building and purchasing land, vehicles, and equipment for purposes of the board. The Amethyst Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of eight point two seven pence (8·27d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property of the board's district; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Amethyst Electric Power Board on the 21st day of April 1965.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Donovan Park Loan 1965, £58,000, First Issue of £8,000
“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchase of land on the periphery of the city for recreation purposes and resale, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one seven (0·017d.) in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 30th day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council, held on Tuesday, 27 April 1964.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and for the purpose of purchasing a fire appliance, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal nought two five four pence (0·0254d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Manurewa, comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of this loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of a proposal by the Southland County Council to take land for roading purposes, notice is hereby given that the Southland County Council in exercise of the powers contained in sections 22 and 23 of the Public Works Act 1928 proposes to take for roading purposes land situated in the County of Southland containing (2) two acres and (39) thirty-nine poles, more or less, being part of Sections 136 and 307, Block LXXII, Hokonui District, as more particularly shown on plan S.O. 7325 and thereon coloured “orange”.
Any person having an objection to the execution of the works or to the taking of the lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, is required to lodge his objection in writing at the office of the Council within forty (40) days from the date of publication hereof.
A copy of the said plan is open for inspection at the office of the Council, Clyde Street, Invercargill, during business hours.

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Public Notification of Proposed Changes to Henderson District Scheme
Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Henderson Borough Council made on the 21st day of April 1965, changes to the district scheme have been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The changes are listed in the Schedule hereto.
The changes have been deposited in the office of the Henderson Borough Council, Thomas Street, Henderson, and are there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above office is open to the public.
Objections to the proposed changes or any parts thereof shall be in writing on form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 and shall be lodged at the office of the council at any time not later than the 28th day of June 1965 (a suitable form for the use of objectors is available from the council office). At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.
