PURSUANT to section 131 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 15th day of November 1929, published in Gazette, 21 November 1929, Volume III, at page 3037, and registered as No. 1504, Wellington Land Registry, authorising the laying off of streets of widths less than 66 ft, but not less than 50 ft and 40 ft, subject to a condition as to the building line, by varying the condition with regard to the building line imposed by the said Order in Council, so that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land comprised and described in certificates of title, Volume 460, folio 317, Volume 493, folio 198, Volume 496, folio 18, Volume 494, folio 216, and Volume 493, folio 197, Wellington Land Registry, within a distance of 25 ft from the centre line of Rosehaugh Avenue.

PURSUANT to the Tramways Act 1908 and the Tramways Amendment Act 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves the term of the licence granted on the 3rd day of August 1964 for a period expiring on the 1st day of September 1985 by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Gisborne to Shell Oil New Zealand Ltd., a company duly incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act 1955 and having its registered office at Shell House, The Terrace, Wellington, in New Zealand (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), authorising the licensee to maintain across portions of the Esplanade within the City of Gisborne the private tramways already constructed leading from the leasehold premises of the licensee situated on the east side of the Esplanade aforesaid to the Gisborne Harbour Board’s railway line situated on the west side of the Esplanade aforesaid, the positions thereof being more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 19356 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
