Specified Departures From Gisborne City District Scheme
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board has consented to the following applications for specified departures from the Gisborne City District Scheme:

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

Public Notification of Christchurch District Scheme, Mount Pleasant Area
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the council made on the 19th day of October 1964, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Mount Pleasant area. The scheme has been deposited in the Canterbury Public Library, Cambridge Terrace, Mount Pleasant Public Library, and the office of the District Land Registrar, Christchurch, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the council at any time not later than Friday, 6 August 1965. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the provision of section 38A of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, Rimu Engineering Co. Ltd. hereby gives notice that it has made application to the Westland County Council for its consent to a specified departure from the control of use of land permitting the erection of an engineering workshop at Kaniere, on the land in certificate of title 1B/736, bounded by Kaniere and Sports Ground No. 6. State Highway, and the grant of a building permit for such building.

Any person or body objecting to or supporting the proposals set out on the application or desiring variation of them are required to submit arguments in writing to the County Clerk, Westland County Council, by not later than noon on Wednesday, the 14th day of April 1965. Any person or body objecting to or supporting the application are entitled to be heard by the council or by a committee thereof constituted for the purpose.

A copy of the application which sets out the applicant’s proposals may be inspected during office hours at the chambers of the Westland County Council.

State Highway, and the grant of a building permit for such building.

Any person or body objecting to or supporting the proposals set out on the application or desiring variation of them are required to submit arguments in writing to the County Clerk, Westland County Council, by not later than noon on Wednesday the 14th day of April 1965. ECKFORD MUTUAL INSURANCE ASSOCIATION
——
IN the matter of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953, the Eckford Mutual Insurance Association has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on insurance business in New Zealand and that it proposes to withdraw the deposit made by it with the Public Trustee pursuant to section 3 of the above-mentioned Act.

The Public Trustee therefore gives notice pursuant to section 19 (3) of the Act that, subject to his being satisfied that all of the liabilities of the said association in New Zealand in respect of its insurance business have been fully liquidated or provided for, he proposes to release to the association on or after the 31st day of May 1965 the amount deposited with him by the said association.

Any objections to the release of the amount deposited should be lodged with the Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, Lambton Quay, Wellington C.1., on or before the 30th day of April 1965.

NEW ZEALAND SOCIETY OF ACCOUNTANTS

PURSUANT to rule 67 of the rules made under the authority of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Act 1958, notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on 19 November 1964, the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Society of Accountants heard charges against Angus Chisholm Halligan, associate public accountant, Dunedin, that he had been guilty of grave impropriety and gross neglect in the performance of his professional duties and of acts and defaults discreditable to an accountant.

The decision of the disciplinary committee was that the charges had been proved and that the name of Angus Chisholm Halligan be removed from the Register of Members of the Society.

PURSUANT to rule 67 of the rules made under the authority of the New Zealand Society of Accountants Act 1958, notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on 24 February 1965, the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Society of Accountants heard charges against George Trevor Knudson, associate registered accountant, Dunedin, that he had been guilty of grave impropriety and gross neglect in the performance of his professional duties and of acts and defaults discreditable to an accountant.

The decision of the disciplinary committee was that the charges had been proved and that the name of George Trevor Knudson be removed from the Register of Members of the Society.
