NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loans No. 2, 1964, £14,000 and No. 3, 1965, £3,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on loans of £14,000 and £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Northcote Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting flats for aged persons thereon, the said Northcote Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one nought five pence (0·105d.) in the pound (No. 2 Loan, 0·09d. and No. 3 Loan, 0·015d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Northcote, comprising the whole of the Borough of Northcote; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loans and be payable yearly on the 7th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loans, being a period of 40 years, or until the loans are fully paid off.”

TAURANGA HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 2, 1964

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £27,700 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying portion of the Harbour Loan 1957 and the Harbour Loan 1957, No. 2, the said Tauranga Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of one two hundred and seventeenth (¹⁄₂₁₇) of a penny in the pound (£1) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Harbour District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable annually on the 22nd day of February in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Tauranga Harbour Board at a special meeting held on 22 February 1965, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting held on 22 March 1965.

MANIOTOTO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the powers conferred by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Counties Act 1956, and every other power and authority it thereunto enabling, the Maniototo County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for repayment of the Rural Housing Loan 1964, for £25,000, and interest and other charges thereon, which loan was authorised to be raised by the Maniototo County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Maniototo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·05052 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Maniototo County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly from the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such loan is fully paid off, whichever is the earlier”.

MANIOTOTO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the powers conferred by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Counties Act 1956, and every other power and authority it thereunto enabling, the Maniototo County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing for repayment of the Bridges Loan 1964 for £20,000 and interest and other charges thereon, which loan was authorised to be raised by the Maniototo County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of meeting the county’s share of the cost of erecting new bridges and replacing existing wooden bridges, the said Maniototo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0491 of a penny in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Maniototo County. That such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly from the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off whichever is the earlier.”

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Olympic Pool Supplementary Loan 1963, £6,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000 (six thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the construction of a swimming pool, ancillary pools, buildings and other works related to the development of the area and surrounds for which the Olympic Pool Loan 1963, £60,000 was raised, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one one (0·011) of a penny (d) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF UPPER HUTT

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Parks Development Loan 1964, of £10,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing amenity blocks and development works in the reserves within the borough, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·044d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Upper Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council held on the 23rd day of March 1965.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Supplementary Loan 1965, £1,200

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on the loan of £1,200, to be known as the Housing Supplementary Loan 1965, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the works for which the Housing Loan 1962, £27,000, was authorised, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of two thousandths of a penny (0·002d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 22nd day of March 1965.
