Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day
of February 1964
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby re-
vokes the Order in Council made on 29 October 1947 and
published in Gazette 6 November 1947, Volume III, page 1746,
and affecting the Maori freehold land set out in the Schedule
hereto.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
sets apart the Maori freehold lands described in the Schedule
hereto as Maori reservations for the purposes as set out for
the common use and benefit of the Maori people.

Varying an Order in Council Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 5 December 1956 and published in Gazette on 13 December 1956, Vol. III, page 1774, and affecting the Maori freehold land known as Omanaia A2 Block, by making the said reservation a reservation for the purpose of a meeting place, recreation ground, and sports ground for the common use and benefit of the Maori people.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Auckland Transport Board to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the City of Auckland and the Borough of Mount Eden (Mount Roskill Routeโ€”Temporary Diversion)

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and with the consent of the Licensee,
hereby further amends, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council, dated the 9th day of November 1954 and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of the same month at page 1796, as amended by Orders in Council dated the 30th day of September 1959, the 20th day of September 1961, and the 2nd day of October 1963, and published in the Gazette on the 1st day of October 1959, the 21st day of September 1961, and the 3rd day of October 1963, at pages 1381, 1448, and 1527, respectively, authorising the Auckland Transport Board to erect and use certain electric lines in the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Mount Eden and Mount Roskill.
SCHEDULE
THE following new paragraphs are added at the end of the Schedule thereto:
(7) Mount Roskill routeโ€”temporary diversion.
Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the existing trolley-bus overhead wiring at the intersection of Dominion Road and View Road and proceeding in an easterly direction along View Road to its intersection with Esplanade Road and thence in a northerly direction along Esplanade Road to its intersection with Mount Eden Road to connect with the existing trolley-bus overhead wiring.
The aforesaid lines being more particularly delineated by means of red lines on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 626 and deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
THE area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby included in the Borough of Onehunga.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 2 acres and 12 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Lot 7 (foreshore reserve), D.P. 24966, in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly and easterly generally along the boundary of the Onehunga Borough as described in Gazette, 1936, page 1535, to and westerly generally along the generally southern boundaries of the areas 3 roods 21 perches and 1 acre and 26 perches shown on S.O. Plan 43135 to the junction of the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 7; thence north-westerly generally along the said boundary to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of April 1964 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Ashburton and included in the County of Geraldine.
  2. The alteration of boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.
