Declaring Lands in Wellington and Westland Land Districts
Vested in the Wellington and Canterbury Education Boards
as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the
Queen

BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto,
being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board, and
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an
area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, as sites for
public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen,
freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting
the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or
easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

PART Section 40, Watts Peninsula District, situated in Block
XI, Port Nicholson Survey District: Area, 0·90 of a perch,
more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 511, folio 189.
As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/835 deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellin-
ton, and thereon edged red (S.O. Plan 25655).

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir
Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate
in the land described in the First Schedule hereto, under
and by virtue of lease No. 21175, and the leasehold estate in
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, under and
by virtue of lease No. 163, North Auckland Land Registry,
are hereby taken for a university from and after the 24th day
of February 1964.

FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 27·5 perches situated in
Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, North Auckland R.D.,
and being Allotment 11, Section 34, City of Auckland, more
particularly shown on D.P. 5243. All provisional register,
Volume 5, folio 120, North Auckland Land Registry.

SECOND SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 27·5 perches situated in
Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, North Auckland R.D.,
and being Allotment 5, Section 34, City of Auckland,
more particularly shown on D.P. 5243. All leasehold certificate
of title, Volume 865, folio 98, North Auckland Land Registry.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir
Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience,
or enjoyment of a road; and I also declare that this Procla-
mation shall take effect on and after the 24th day of February
1964.

SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 11 acres 3 roods 5 perches
situated in Block IX, Belmont Survey District, Wellington
R.D., being part Lot 2, plan A. 1855, being part Sections 37
and 48, Hutt District. All certificate of title, Volume 141, folio
172, Wellington Land Registry.

Act 1948, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as road
the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 2 acres and 5·7 perches
situated in Block XVI, Rangiora Survey District, Canterbury
R.D., and being part Reserve 3658; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18159 (S.O.
10202) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,

marked and coloured as above mentioned and deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
