The Income Tax (Cook Islands Development Projects) Order 1964

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the Income Tax (Cook Islands Development Projects) Order 1964.
- This order shall apply-
(a) In the case of the companies named in Part A of the Schedule to this order, with respect to the tax on income derived in the income year that commenced on the 1st day of April 1963 and in every subsequent year:
(b) In the case of the company named in Part B of the Schedule to this order, with respect to the tax on income derived in the income year that commenced on the 1st day of April 1964 and in every subsequent year. - The business or enterprises carried on in the Cook Islands (including Niue) by the respective companies named in the Schedule to this order are hereby declared to be development projects for the purposes of section 86B of the Land and Income Tax Act 1954 (as inserted by section 7(1) of the Land and Income Tax Amendment Act (No. 2) 1963).

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the purchase by the Westland Electric Power Board of the whole of the shares in Westland Power Ltd., on the terms contained in a draft agreement approved by the Minister of Electricity on the 26th day of November 1964, made between the Board and Westland Power Ltd.

The King Country Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1958, Amendment No. 1

At the Government House at Wellington this 9th day of December 1964
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER - This order may be cited as the King Country Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1958, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the King Country Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1958* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).
- The principal order is hereby amended by adding to the First Schedule thereto the following:
“(3) Lines for the transmission of electrical energy commencing at the boundary of the King Country Electric Power District, and proceeding thence in a westerly direction to a house and shed, and in a north-westerly direction to another house, the said lines being shown by green lines on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 654 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
