Notice of Meeting of Members
PURSUANT to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, notice is hereby given that a meeting of the members of Home Supply Dairy and Grocery Ltd. will be held at Builders Association Boardroom, 275 Broadway, Palmerston North, on Wednesday the 9th day of December 1964, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up of the company is to be proposed and that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at Builders Association Boardroom, 275 Broadway, Palmerston North, on Wednesday the 9th day of December 1964, at 9 a.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company and in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Street Construction Ltd., a public company duly incorporated in New Zealand and having its registered office at Ellis Street in the City of Hamilton, notice is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court, dated the 10th day of November 1964, confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £200,000 to £125,000 and the minute approved by the Court, showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statute, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 19th day of November 1964.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taihape Borough Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £13,500 authorised to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the reconstruction of Kiwi Road, the said Taihape Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four nine five pence (0·495d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) in the Borough of Taihape; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1964, £1,700
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £1,700 authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for erecting flats for aged people, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three seven pence (0·037d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Huntly; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Abattoir Loan £8,600
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council held on the 17th day of November 1964, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the Te Aroha Borough Council Abattoir Loan 1964 (£8,600) authorised to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, the said council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal four five eight one six pence (0·45816d.) in the pound of all rateable properties in the Borough of Te Aroha on the basis of the unimproved value; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, during the period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
That the council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the payment of the said debenture or debentures the annually recurring special rate of decimal four five eight one six pence (0·45816d.) in the pound on all rateable properties in the Borough of Te Aroha on the basis of the unimproved value made and levied.”

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council held on the 18th day of August 1964, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the Te Aroha Borough Council Pensioners Flats Loan No. 3, 1964 (£8,800) authorised to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, the said council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one nine one nought four pence (0·19104d.) in the pound of all rateable property in the Borough of Te Aroha on the basis of the unimproved value; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, during the period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
That the council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the payment of the said debenture or debentures the annually recurring special rate of decimal one nine one nought four pence (0·19104d.) in the pound on all rateable property in the Borough of Te Aroha on the basis of the unimproved value made and levied.”

CENTRAL CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £17,000 to be known as No. 11 Redemption Loan 1964 authorised to be raised by the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the No. 11 Reticulation Loan 1954, raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board, which matures on the 1st day of January 1965, the said Central Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one seventy-fifth (1/75th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board District, comprising the whole of the Counties of Ellesmere, Paparua, Akaroa, Wairewa, and Mount Herbert, part of the Borough of Lyttelton, and parts of the Selwyn, Halswell, Malvern, and Heathcote Counties; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board at the meeting written above.
