OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Opotiki Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,700 authorised to be raised by the Opotiki Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Sewerage Loan 1952 which matures on the 5th day of January 1965, the said Opotiki Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point seven five pence (0·75d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Opotiki; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waiouru Water Reticulation Loan 1964

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,200 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for a portion of Waiouru Township, the Rangitikei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 9·8189 pence in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Waiouru Water Supply Special Rating District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on 1 August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on 12 November 1964.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 2, 1964, £50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Rangitikei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·12113 pence in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Rangitikei, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on 12 November 1964.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of section 22 of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice is hereby given that the New Plymouth City Council proposes to provide land for street widening purposes and for such purpose requires to take, in accordance with the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, all that piece of land situated at 162 St. Aubyn Street, in the City of New Plymouth, and described in the Schedule hereto, such piece of land being shown on the plan deposited at the office of the said council situated in Liardet Street, New Plymouth, and there open for inspection at all reasonable hours.

Every person affected is required to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land, not being an objection to the amount of payment of compensation, and to send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of the notice to the said council at its said office.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council, being a local authority within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and of every and any other power it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, namely, the construction of a new street in the City of Lower Hutt, and for the purposes of this public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for street and in connection with street, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken marked T.P. 1/9/2 is deposited in the office of the council situate in the Administration Building, Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection by all persons, without fee, during ordinary office hours.

All persons who are affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land and who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land or any of them should state their objections in writing and send them in writing within a period of forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the above address.

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a road at Aleys Road, Paparata, within the County of Franklin, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk of the said council situated on Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
