OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE

General Extension Loan 1964, £150,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the board’s General Extension Loan 1964, £150,000 authorised to be raised by the Otago Electric Power Board under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of further reticulating the board’s inner area of supply including the augmenting of existing lines and substations and meeting costs incidental thereto, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eleventh of a penny (1/11d.) in the pound on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the Otago Electric Power District; and it is hereby further resolved that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said General Extension Loan 1964, £150,000, or until the said loan has been fully repaid; and the special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said loan and for payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Otago Electric Power Board held on the 15th day of September 1964.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Duncan Terrace Housing Loan 1964, of £129,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 11th day of November 1964.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and twenty-nine thousand pounds (£129,000) to be known as the Wellington City Duncan Terrace Housing Loan 1964, of £129,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation for old people and rental units for the public, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of thirty-nine one-thousandths of a penny (0·039d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Tram Track Roading Redemption Loan 1964, of £4,700

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £4,700 known as the Tram Track Roading Redemption Loan 1964, of £4,700 for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Tram Track Roading Loan 1955, which matures on 26 November 1964, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought five of a penny (0·005d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 12 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Given under the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert, this 12th day of November 1964.

BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan No. 1, £60,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out further reticulation, installing load control equipment, and replacing a pipe line, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal two seven of a penny (0·27d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Buller Electric Power District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Buller Electric Power Board at a meeting held on the 11th day of November 1964.

WAIMATE WEST COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 2, 1964, £20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimate West County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to be raised by the Waimate West County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing advances under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waimate West County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five one pence (0·051d.) in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Waimate West; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half yearly, the first such payment to be made not later than six months after the date of payment of the first instalment and subsequently in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Flats Loan 1964, £30,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two one four of a penny (0·214d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Feilding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Waitara Riding Water Supply Area Loan 1964

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing water reticulation within the Waitara Riding Water Supply Area, the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two one seven pence (0·217d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Waitara Riding Water Supply Area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
