CROMWELL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Cromwell Borough Water Reticulation Loan 1964, £15,000

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Cromwell Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of extending water main reticulation, installing main line recording meters, and constructing a test bore, the said Cromwell Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two point seven five (2·75d.) pence in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of the whole of the rateable property in the Borough of Cromwell, comprising the whole of the Borough of Cromwell as recorded on the government valuation roll for the said borough on the 27th day of October 1964; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and that principal and interest shall be payable half-yearly in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until such time as the loan is fully paid off."

Passed at a special meeting of the council held on the 27th day of October 1964.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION TO MAKE AND LEVY SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Improvement Loan 1964 of £180,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the amendments thereof, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and principal payments on a special loan of £180,000 known as Water Supply Improvement Loan 1964 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, the said Wanganui City Council makes and levies a special rate of 0·50 of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the Gazette, of the 28th day of November 1963, No. 76, at page 1919, of the 21st day of November 1963, No. 75, at page 1864, of the 30th day of January 1964, No. 4, at page 85, and of the 2nd day of April 1964, No. 19, page 561; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 30 years from the date of the raising of the said loan, or until such loan shall be fully paid."

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Wanganui City Council held on the 2nd day of November 1964.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Piako County Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the Piako County Council Chambers, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of this work or by the taking of the said land may set forth in writing any objection they may wish to make (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) and send same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, Piako County Council, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha.

SCHEDULE

The land described hereunder is shown on Survey Office Plan 36382, and is situated at the junction of Bolton Road and the Morrinsville-Ngarua Main Highway 492.

WAITOTARA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Waitotara County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road, notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said county council situate at 331 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui, and is open to inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have well grounded objections to the taking must state their objection in writing and send the same within forty (40) days of the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the council chambers.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the County of Waitotara containing twenty-nine decimal two perches (29·2p.), more or less, being part Lot 7, on Deposited Plan 1369, part Section 231, Right Bank Wanganui River, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 271, folio 251, and all the land shown on S.O. Plan numbered 25884, and thereon coloured orange, situate in Block V, Westmere Survey District, on the Heads-Mosstown Road.

BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

District Scheme—Application for Conditional Use

AN application has been received for permission to make building extensions to a hall situated in Wakefield Street, Featherston. This property is located in the residential zone on the Town Plan. The proposed extensional use is permitted in this zone subject to the consent by resolution of the council, provided that such use is in accordance with such resolutions, restrictions, and prohibitions as the council shall by resolution impose.

Plans of the proposal may be inspected at the Municipal Office, Fox Street, Featherston. Any owner or occupier of property may object to the proposed use by notice in writing delivered to the council not later than 9 a.m. on 13 November 1964. Every such objector shall state the grounds of the objection, and address for service, and whether the objector desires to be heard by the Town Planning Committee in support of this objection.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council is considering consenting to the following departure pursuant to regulation 33 of the Town and Country Planning Regulations:

"To permit shops to be erected at No. 96 College Street which adjoins the present service station and block of shops."
