TAURANGA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
———
Renewal Loan 1964, £30,000

“THAT, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund contribution and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric Power Board Renewal Loan 1964, £30,000, authorised to be raised by resolution under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Electrical Extension Loan 1954, which matures on 1 January 1965, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅙th of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be payable on 1 January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Board on the 21st day of October 1964.

MURUPARA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Milk Treatment Station Loan, 1964

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Murupara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Milk Treatment Station Loan 1964, £19,500 authorised to be raised by the Murupara Borough Council under the above mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing the assets of the Murupara Milk Treatment Station and providing for capital replacements thereto, the Murupara Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two five of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (based on the Capital Value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Murupara; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 8th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Murupara Borough Council held on Tuesday, 20 October 1964.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,250 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land in Kawakawa for Council Chambers and Depot Site, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes a special rate of one twenty-fifth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Bay of Islands; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Bay of Islands County Council held on the 21st day of October 1964.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,800 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land in Paihia for a bus and car park, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes a special rate of one-sixteenth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Bay of Islands; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Gas Distribution Improvement Loan 1964, £15,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loan Act 1956, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Blenheim Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the installation of high pressure gas equipment, the extension of reticulation and the renewal of gas mains, the said council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and nine one-thousandths of a penny (0·109d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Mains Renewal Loan 1964, £100,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Blenheim Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of continuing the work of renewing the spiral steel mains of the Borough water supply reticulation, the said council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five hundred and thirty-five one-thousandths of a penny (0·535d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Restoration Redemption Loan 1964, £14,967

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £14,967 authorised to be raised by the Mount Eden Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity portion of the Streets Restoration Loan 1953, which matured on 26 May 1964, the said Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of zero decimal three one six pence (0·316d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Eden; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off and shall be payable on the 1st day of April 1964.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the borough council held on the 27th day of October 1964.
