RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 1, 1964, £20,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Taieri County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Taieri
County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural
Housing Act 1939, the said Taieri County Council hereby
makes a special rate of 0·06 pence in the pound (£) upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the County of
Taieri, comprising the whole of the County of Taieri; and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of September in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Renewal Loan 1964
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Taumarunui Borough Council for the purpose of providing
the interest and other charges on a loan of £21,400 authorised
to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity
that portion of the Water Supply Loan 1953 which matures
on the 30th day of September 1964, the said Taumarunui
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
five hundred and seven thousandths of a penny in the pound
(0·507d. in the £) on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough
of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be
payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year until the loan is fully repaid."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of
a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council at a
meeting held on Monday, 28 September 1964.

General Extension Loan 1964, of £60,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitomo
Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of extending and adding to the existing reticulation
system and otherwise providing for the use of electrical
energy throughout the Waitomo Electric Power District, and
for such purposes to do all or any of such matters and
things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all
other powers and authorities it enabling, the said Waitomo
Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one
third of a penny ($\frac{1}{3}$d.) in the pound (£) upon the rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Waitomo Electric Power District;
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of December in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off."

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of £3,250 authorised to be raised by Patea County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
providing staff housing, the said Patea County Council hereby
makes a special rate of 0·0075d. in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property within the said county;
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly
in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS
ACT 1928
Notice is hereby given that the Whangarei City Council
proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to execute certain public work, namely the widening of Russell
Road in the City of Whangarei, and for this purpose the
Whangarei City Council proposes to take, under the pro-
visions of the said Public Works Act 1928, the land described
in the Schedule hereto for street. Notice is further given that a
plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
public office of the Town Clerk to the said council situated
in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for public inspection,
without fee, by all persons during office hours. All persons
affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking
of such land who have any well grounded objections to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said land must state their objections in writing and send
the same within forty (40) days from the first publication
of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers,
Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing a total area of 5·1 perches,
more or less, and being part of Lots 3, 4, and 5, on Deposited
Plan 47593, and part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 39954, all
situated in Block XIII, Purua Survey District; as the same

thereon coloured sepia, blue, and yellow.

Combined Area District Planning Scheme
Notice is hereby given pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that by a
decision dated 10 September 1964, the Town and Country
Planning Appeal Board consented to the application of
Clelands Development Ltd. for a departure, under section
35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, from the
above-mentioned district scheme.
The substance and effect of the consent is to permit the
use for Commercial purposes that part of part Lot 1 and
Lot 2, D.P. 6034 (Devon Street East), subject to conditions
relating to access and to specified areas being set aside and
retained for off-street parking notwithstanding that the land
is and shall remain zoned Industrial B.

Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution
of the Taupo County Council made on the 29th day of
September 1964, a change of the district scheme has been
recommended for approval under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953. The change relates to the Turangi locality
in the Tongariro Riding Section of the district scheme.
