BOROUGH OF PORIRUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the annual charges on a loan of £17,000 authorised to be raised by the Porirua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing water and sewerage reticulation in the Takapuwahia area of the Borough, the said Porirua Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of eight hundredths pence (0·08d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Porirua; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Porirua Borough Council held on 23 September 1964.

RANGITIKEI CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Forewa Valley Control Scheme Loan 1964, £35,000—First Portion £10,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 being the first portion of the Forewa Valley Control Scheme Loan 1964, £35,000 authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board for the carrying out of the Forewa Valley Control Scheme to make and levy a special rate on a graduated scale according to the Forewa Valley Control Scheme Classification list of the said area as follows:

2·66 pence in the pound on Class A Land
1·60 pence in the pound on Class B Land
0·76 pence in the pound on Class C Land
0·14 pence in the pound on Class D Land
0·08 pence in the pound on Class E Land
0·026 pence in the pound on Class F Land
0·22 pence in the pound on Class U1 Land
0·04 pence in the pound on Class U2 Land

and shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable in one sum yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a public work namely as a site for an electrical substation.

Every person affected should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or the payment of compensation, and to lodge the written objection at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, Manchester Street, Christchurch, within 40 days from the 28th day of September 1964 being the date of the first publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated in the City of Christchurch containing 31¼ perches, or thereabouts, being part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 1514, part Town Sections 485 and 487, and being also all the land described in certificate of title, Volume 199, folio 6 (Canterbury Registry). This property is known as numbers 254, 256, and 258, Montreal Street, Christchurch.

HUTT RIVER BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the River Boards Act 1908, notice is hereby given that the Hutt River Board proposes by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling to execute a public work, to wit river works to prevent or lessen damage from the overflow or breaking of the banks of the Hutt River, and for the purpose of such works the board requires to take the lands more particularly described in the Schedule hereto for river works, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Hutt River Board, Winslow Chambers, Margaret Street, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection during ordinary office hours and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said pieces of land should if they have any well grounded objections thereto set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty (40) days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof) to the Hutt River Board at its offices situate as aforesaid.

WAIKOUAITI COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikouaiti County Council at its meeting held on 31 August 1964, has resolved to prepare for the portion of the Waikouaiti County, which was transferred from the former Borough of West Harbour to the County on 1 April 1963, a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or their opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Waikouaiti County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the county clerk’s office on or before the 28th day of February 1965.

BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Featherston District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the Borough of Featherston was approved by the council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 24th day of September 1964, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of, and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated. The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of October 1964.

Copies of the scheme as approved, have been deposited in the council’s office and in Featherston Public Library, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.
